The Hyundai Xcent subcompact sedan has been removed from the companys India website, marking the end of its sales in the Indian market. This decision came after the launch of the new-generation model, the Hyundai Aura, which replaced the Xcent. In 2020, ahead of the BS6 emission norms implementation, Hyundai offered significant discounts on BS4 models, including the Xcent, to clear out the inventory. Discounts of up to Rs. 2.5 lakh were available on various Hyundai models. I think this was a smart move to attract buyers and clear stock before the new emission standards took effect.
