Our take on this /// Verdict
The Maruti Ertiga VXi is a compelling option for those seeking a practical, comfortable, and feature-packed multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in India. My experience with the 2024 Maruti Ertiga VXi Petrol (Mild Hybrid) has been quite positive, especially in terms of its low-speed drivability and the smoothness of the gearbox. The vehicle can handle city driving with ease, and the ability to shift into 5th gear at as low as 40 kmph is impressive. However, the lack of low-end torque compared to a modern turbo diesel might be noticeable when the vehicle is fully loaded on highways. The idle startstop feature, while fuel-efficient, can be irritating in Delhis pollution-prone environment where AC usage is constant. Overall, the Ertiga VXi strikes a good balance between comfort, features, and affordability, making it a solid choice for families or groups of friends.
Price
The Maruti Ertiga VXi Petrol (Mild Hybrid) is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price in Delhi is approximately Rs 9.85 lakhs, while the on-road price comes to around Rs 11.15 lakhs. This pricing makes the Ertiga VXi an attractive option when compared to other vehicles in its segment, such as the Maruti Brezza, which offers similar features but at a slightly higher cost. The value for money is evident, especially considering the features and the spacious interior that the Ertiga provides. For those looking for a reliable and feature-rich MPV without breaking the bank, the Ertiga VXi is certainly worth considering.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 31 July 2024 07:35 AM
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has recently faced a setback in safety ratings, scoring a poor 1-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash tests. The bodyshell of the Ertiga was assessed as ‘unstable’. This is a significant concern for potential buyers who prioritize safety. I believe that Maruti Suzuki needs to address these safety issues to maintain consumer trust.
Tuesday, 14 November 2023 07:41 PM
Maruti Suzuki has announced that the new Ertiga will only offer an automatic gearbox with the petrol version, powered by a 1.5-litre engine paired with a conventional 4-speed torque convertor automatic. The diesel variant will only be available with a 5-speed manual transmission. This move could impact the appeal of the diesel model for those seeking convenience. I think this decision might push more buyers towards the petrol automatic variant.
Sunday, 10 September 2023 11:11 AM
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has seen a significant demand for its CNG variant, with the Ertiga CNG accounting for around 30% of Maruti’s pending CNG orders. This high demand has led to supply issues, but Maruti is expanding its production capacity to address this. I believe this indicates a strong market preference for CNG vehicles due to fuel efficiency and cost savings.
Friday, 15 April 2022 01:41 PM
Maruti Suzuki has updated the Ertiga with new features, including Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and hill assist, which are now standard across all variants. This update has resulted in a price hike of Rs. 6,000. The starting ex-showroom price in Delhi is now Rs. 8.41 lakh. I think these added safety features are a welcome move, even if it means a slight increase in price.
Friday, 15 April 2022 06:38 PM
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was launched in India with minor cosmetic updates, new equipment, and a new DualJet petrol engine. The model is available in four trims - LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+ - with optional automatic variants in the VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+ trims. I believe these updates will help the Ertiga maintain its competitive edge in the MPV segment.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 10:39 PM
The mileage of the Maruti Ertiga VXi is a significant factor for potential buyers concerned about running costs. The vehicle returns a certified mileage of 20.3 kmpl, which is respectable for an MPV of its size. In real-world conditions, you can expect around 14-16 kmpl in city driving and slightly better on highways. This mileage, combined with the fuel-efficient mild hybrid technology, makes the Ertiga VXi a cost-effective choice for daily use and long trips alike.

Maruti Ertiga VXi Discussion
dashing looks
Good of MUL to have thought and designed a car in this segment. Will it be of Innova & Xylo size or a tad smaller? The tentative prices mentioned by you would be affordable to buyers like us to whom Innova is expensive and the Xylo though cheaper than Innova is Ugly. Hope to see more pictures including interiors soon and also expect to be able to read the full brochure. -- Mr. K. Baruah, Guwahati, Assam
All you guys who have posted a comment must first learn th write in english before you comment. I think the car is good enough for the common man.

maruti suzuki is a name one should never trust on.........it doesn't make cars,it instead makes toys which do not worth it.....this car has been built using the concept of ritz, swift (the front i.e. the air intake or grill and the headlamps),the rear resembles innova and jazz and looking at the side view i can say it has been copied from xylo.....ADVICE: never ever buy a maruti suzuki.
how is the interior of the car
Amazing is the word..
