Tuesday, 17 September 2019 03:57 PM The Mahindra NuvoSport is indeed a 7-seater SUV, offering ample space for passengers. It is known for its ground clearance of 180mm, which is beneficial for navigating rough Indian roads. I believe the seating capacity and ground clearance make it a practical choice for family use.
Tuesday, 17 September 2019 03:54 PM In terms of safety, the Mahindra NuvoSport comes with anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) as standard across all variants. This ensures better control and safety on the road.
Tuesday, 17 September 2019 02:52 PM The Mahindra NuvoSport has a certified mileage of 17.45 kmpl for both manual and automatic diesel variants. This makes it a fuel-efficient option in its segment. I believe the consistent mileage across both transmission types is a plus for potential buyers.
Monday, 16 September 2019 09:01 AM The NuvoSport is equipped with a mHawk 100 turbocharged engine, which enhances its performance. This engine is a key feature that sets it apart in its segment. I think the turbocharger adds a significant boost to the vehicles overall driving experience.
Monday, 09 September 2019 07:05 PM Mahindra has not provided any official update on discontinuing the NuvoSport as of recent times. Despite rumors, the company has maintained that there are no immediate plans to stop production. I think this indicates that Mahindra is still evaluating the market demand for this model.
Monday, 03 September 2018 12:57 PM Bookings for the Mahindra Marazzo, another model from Mahindra, commenced in 2018, which might have impacted the sales and focus on the NuvoSport. However, the NuvoSport remains a part of Mahindras lineup with its unique features and pricing.
Wednesday, 21 February 2018 04:38 PM Mahindra is considering discontinuing the NuvoSport along with other low-performing models due to upcoming revisions in safety and emission norms. This decision is part of Mahindras strategy to focus on more successful and compliant models. I think this move could help Mahindra streamline their product lineup and invest in more competitive vehicles.
Monday, 11 April 2016 06:36 PM The Mahindra NuvoSport is available in six variants: N4, N4+, N6, N6+, N8, and N8+, with the option of an automated-manual transmission (AMT) unit. The vehicle is priced between Rs 7.77 lakh and Rs 10.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It features a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 100 bhp and 240 Nm of torque.
Monday, 11 April 2016 05:06 PM The Mahindra NuvoSport replaces the Quanto and sits above the TUV300 in terms of pricing and features. It is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine from the outgoing Quanto, offering a certified mileage of 17.45 kmpl. The vehicle comes with standard ABS and EBD, and airbags are optional for the base variant but standard on other variants.
Monday, 11 April 2016 01:38 PM The NuvoSport competes directly with the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, and the Tata Nexon in the sub-4 metre SUV segment. It offers features like cruise control, parking sensors, and a 5-Speed manual transmission along with the optional AMT. I believe the competition in this segment is fierce, but the NuvoSports features make it a viable option.

Mahindra NuvoSport Review

Filling a minor gap between the TUV300 and Scorpio, Mahindra recently launched the new NuvoSport in India for INR 7.42 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is basically a Quanto for those who never liked it while others have many reasons to move ahead. Mahindra calls it all new as the hidden components from the first look (chassis and engine) cannot be seen by a person while many would stick to their opinion because of the same dashboard and side view of the car. Well, NuvoSport is a mix and match car with new front fascia while all other components have been mixed from other cars in the lineup.

Exterior

The car comes with bold new front fascia and undoubtedly, the best part of the car stays it's front section only. The separate eyebrow DRLs are one of it's kind on NuvoSport and Mahindra has very cleanly added a silver skid plate under the lower grill of the car. The headlights have been sharpened for a more premium look while the muscular bonnet scoop adds aggression to the overall profile. The side profile gets the addition of new sporty 16 inch alloy wheels and rear gets a new spare wheel cover for a refreshed feel.

Interior

Mahindra offers the same dashboard design in the NuvoSport as Quanto, adding a touchscreen on the center of the console to make it more happening than ever. The dual tone black and grey interior theme is good but is not as universal as full black or the dual tone black and beige combination. The steering wheel has been sourced from TUV300 while the car gets sport aluminum pedals for a premium feel. Aluminum scuff plates with NuvoSport branding are also available on the car. The interior feels restricted while many cars in this price segment are offering loads of equipment and better colors for enhanced driving experience.

Dimensions and Weight

The car measures 3985 mm in length, 1850 mm in width and 1870 mm in height. The wheelbase counts 2760 mm and the car carries a 7 seat arrangement with jump seats at the back. It has a gross vehicle weight of 2220 kg and carry 412 liters of boot space when the last 2 seats seats are pulled up.

Instrument Console

The car uses a 3-pod instrument console with center pod acting as a speedometer as well as carrying a small display with odometer and trip-meter inside it. Seat belt warning, ABS light and high beam indicators are placed inside this pod. The left pod hold the tachometer while right shows engine temperature as well as fuel gauge.

Engine and Gearbox

The other best feature on the NuvoSport is it's engine as it uses the 1.5 L motor from TUV300 in a different set of tune. Named as mHawk 100, the engine is good for 100 Bhp and 240 Nm of torque in the power mode while the eco mode restricts the power and increases the economy factor of the car. It comes with 2 different gearbox options, one being a 5-speed manual while the other being an AMT unit.

Brakes and Suspension

The front brakes are discs while the rear on the NuvoSport are drum brakes. The car uses ABS with electronic brake distribution for a safer ride. NuvoSport rides on 215/65-16 tyres and uses independent double wishbone type suspension for the front. The front gets coil springs with anti roll bar while the rear uses 5-link, coil springs for the suspension duties.

Safety and Comfort

The NuvoSport offers dual airbags, ABS, EBD, front fog lamps, seat belts with height adjusters and many more features for the enhanced safety of the passengers. The car uses a 6.2 inch infotainment system from Kenwood, offering Bluetooth connectivity, AUX, CD, DVD and USB playback. It uses the start stop system and lowers the overall emissions and fuel wastage from the car.

The driver information system on the car displays important information. The floor in the second row is flat while the car comes with more comfort features like driver seat height adjustment, lumbar support and additional recline to second row seats. It even gets cruise control for relaxed highway rides.

Shades and Variants

The car comes in six shades namely Molten Red, Rust Orange, Regal Blue, Diamond White, Mist Silver and Fiery Black. The variants on offer are N4, N4+, N6, N6 AMT, N8 and N8 AMT.

Ex-showroom Price

The NuvoSport starts with a price tag of INR 7.42 lakhs while it's top variant costs INR 9.87 lakhs. These prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

What is the launch date for Mahindra NuvoSport Petrol in India?
29 December 2022 06:08
Mahindra NuvoSport has currently no fixed launch date for its petrol variants to be launched in India. Mahindra may develop a 1500 cc petrol engine specifically for TUV300, NuvoSport and other cars to be launched in the compact SUV segment. The shifting nature of Indian customers to petrol engines have made it mandatory for many car makers who were earlier famous for their diesel engines. Maruti, Mahindra and Tata cars are now selling good numbers in petrol variants as those who drive less are happy spending around INR 1,20,000 less on petrol engines while the price gap between petrol and diesel has also gone down by a considerable margin.
