It is built on the Ford B3 platform, sharing its underpinnings with the Ford Fiesta Mk5. I bought the vehicle as a second hand 2009 model which had clocked 1.6 lac kms in the year 2013. Till date there is no hassle. Service is done by Ford Dealership, Coimbatore. Now I have clocked 2.6 lac kms, the cruising speed in highway is 120 plus kmph. The stability is awesome. Also, the mileage 18 kpl plus. With regard to the mechanical and suspension spares it's available with the dealership it self. Head light assembly and Danger light assembly are not available. The maintenance cost is cheap. It's an awesome vehicle.
Best Features: Engine, Transmission and Suspension
Pros: It's look, built quality and performance

I recently bought a used fusion diesel. I like the vehicles spacious interiors and ride comfort. Mileage is 15 km/h. It is a pleasure on highways. So far I drove it to a max 90km/h. Wish the company would relaunch this model. Having a tough time procuring spares for the vehicle. The gear shifts at lower speeds are not smooth. Wonder if anyone could suggest me a solution on this. AC is adequate.
Best Features: Roomy interiors. Easy for elders to sit and come out.
Pros: Good ride comfort, Suitable for highway rides. Spacious seating capacity. Decent boot space
Cons: Spares availability is big challenge. Gear changes are not smooth during low speed.

Got highway mileage up to 17.5 KMPL on a stretch of 300 KM's. Ford introduced this semi SUV too early when the market was highly sedan oriented in this segment and brought in diesel version too late, probably Ford India was too excited with the success of Ford Fiesta in mid-2000. Ford could not keep competition pressures and lost both models in a race with Hyundai & others.
Best Features: Easy entry exit for a 6' sardar, reasonable boot space for 4 passengers, carries wheel chair comfortably.
Pros: Early version of semi SUV that probably was too early in sedan dominated Indian market in 2004.
Cons: Manufacturer disowned it earlier than the prospects in Indian market.
