Price
In India, the Yamaha FZ8 is not currently part of the active lineup, as it has been discontinued in favor of newer models. However, if we were to consider its historical pricing, the ex-showroom price would have been around 8-10 lakhs, depending on the region and any customizations. The on-road price, including taxes, registration, and other costs, would have been closer to 10-12 lakhs. Its important to note that these prices are speculative and based on past data, as the FZ8 is no longer available for purchase new in the Indian market.

Tuesday, 19 November 2024 12:11 PM The Yamaha FZ8, although discontinued in many markets, remains a popular choice for enthusiasts in India due to its agile handling and powerful 779 cc inline-four engine. Its ability to navigate tight roads with ease makes it a favorite among riders who enjoy backroad adventures. I think its handling is one of its strongest points, making it a joy to ride.
Tuesday, 15 October 2024 05:51 PM In terms of design, the Yamaha FZ8 stands out with its naked bike aesthetic, offering a sporty look that appeals to many riders. The bikes aluminum frame and adjustable suspension (introduced in 2013) contribute to its robust yet agile feel. I believe the design is a perfect blend of style and functionality.
Friday, 20 September 2024 04:56 PM The FZ8 is known for its smooth throttle action and light brake lever, although the clutch lever is not adjustable and can be a bit far from the handlebars. Despite this, the bikes overall ergonomics make it comfortable for long rides. I find the throttle response to be very responsive and user-friendly.
Sunday, 25 August 2024 11:33 AM Yamahas decision to discontinue the FZ8 in several markets, including the United States after 2013, has led to a surge in demand for used models. In India, this bike is still sought after by riders who appreciate its mid-range power and handling capabilities. I think this bike is a great value for money in the used market.
Wednesday, 10 July 2024 02:39 PM The FZ8 features a 779 cc engine derived from the FZ1, with a reduced bore and stroke, resulting in 89-91 horsepower. This engine setup provides ample power for road riding without feeling overly aggressive. I believe this power range is ideal for everyday riding.
Saturday, 15 June 2024 06:42 PM The bikes braking system, which includes dual 310 mm discs at the front and a single 267 mm disc at the rear, along with ABS on the FAZER8 model, ensures strong stopping power. This is particularly important for Indian roads where sudden stops are common. I think the braking performance is quite reliable.
Monday, 20 May 2024 01:58 PM Despite being criticized for being expensive compared to rivals like the Triumph Street Triple and Kawasaki Z750, the FZ8 has maintained a loyal following in India. Its performance and build quality justify the higher price point for many enthusiasts. I think the quality and performance make it worth the investment.
Thursday, 25 April 2024 05:20 PM The FZ8s fuel economy is respectable, with an average consumption of around 5.6-5.33 liters per 100 kilometers. This makes it a practical choice for daily commuting and long road trips in India. I find the fuel efficiency to be quite good for its class.
Friday, 15 March 2024 02:19 PM The bikes suspension, which became adjustable in 2013, provides a smooth ride and excellent handling, especially on Indian roads which can be quite uneven. This adjustability adds to the bikes versatility. I believe the suspension is one of the key features that make this bike so enjoyable.
Saturday, 10 February 2024 04:45 AM The Yamaha FZ8 and its half-faired counterpart, the FAZER8, replaced the FZ6 and FZ6 FAZER models. While the FZ6 models continued to be sold in some markets, the FZ8 quickly gained popularity for its enhanced performance and features. I think the upgrade was a significant improvement over the previous models.

Yamaha FZ8 Review

11 Sep, 2018 02:29 PM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

The FZ8 is based on the aggressive and mass-forward concept. It supports a naked fairing on the front which gives it a sporty stance. The bike features a carefully placed handlebars and footrests, slim fuel tank and a comfortable split seat ergonomics. It uses the light and rigid aluminum delta frame from the R-series DNA which gives it a futuristic look. The new radical muffler design and the blackened out alloys enhances the side profile of FZ8. Overall, Yamaha FZ8 throws macho looks that turns heads. The FZ8 comes with a length of 2140 mm, width of 770 mm and a height of 1065 mm as it dimensions along with a weight of 211 Kg. It has a fuel tank capacity of 17-litres which makes it suitable for long runs.

The bike features a amber colored LCD instrument console that includes a speedometer, fuel gauge, tripmeter and a clock. The panel also bears a white base, analogue tachometer with a red colored illuminating needle. There are indicators for pass-light, step-up seat, stand alarm, low fuel, battery and oil. Yamaha FZ8 is expected to be powered by the 779cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC engine that will generate a maximum power of 104.8 bhp at 10000 rpm and a maximum torque of 82 Nm at 8000 rpm. This forward-inclined parallel four cylinder engine would be mated to a constant mesh six speed transmission and a wet, multiple-disc coil spring clutch system. It will use the electronic fuel injection and TCI (digital) ignition system.

The FZ8 is expected to be fitted with 310 mm hydraulic dual disc brakes at the front and 267 mm hydraulic single disc brakes at the rear end. On the other hand, suspension duties would be handled by upside-down telescopic forks at the front while linked mono shock with spring preload adjustment at the back. There is a great fun to ride this sports bike. The extended wheelbase of 1460 mm offers you a safe and stable ride. On the other hand, the ground clearance of 140 mm makes it suitable for tough and rough conditions. The bike could have a tyre size of 120/70 ZR17 M/C at the front and 180/55 ZR17 M/C at the back. Yamaha FZ8 does not loose control even at higher speeds.
