Yamaha FZ8 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
The FZ8 is based on the aggressive and mass-forward concept. It supports a naked fairing on the front which gives it a sporty stance. The bike features a carefully placed handlebars and footrests, slim fuel tank and a comfortable split seat ergonomics. It uses the light and rigid aluminum delta frame from the R-series DNA which gives it a futuristic look. The new radical muffler design and the blackened out alloys enhances the side profile of FZ8. Overall, Yamaha FZ8 throws macho looks that turns heads. The FZ8 comes with a length of 2140 mm, width of 770 mm and a height of 1065 mm as it dimensions along with a weight of 211 Kg. It has a fuel tank capacity of 17-litres which makes it suitable for long runs.
The bike features a amber colored LCD instrument console that includes a speedometer, fuel gauge, tripmeter and a clock. The panel also bears a white base, analogue tachometer with a red colored illuminating needle. There are indicators for pass-light, step-up seat, stand alarm, low fuel, battery and oil. Yamaha FZ8 is expected to be powered by the 779cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC engine that will generate a maximum power of 104.8 bhp at 10000 rpm and a maximum torque of 82 Nm at 8000 rpm. This forward-inclined parallel four cylinder engine would be mated to a constant mesh six speed transmission and a wet, multiple-disc coil spring clutch system. It will use the electronic fuel injection and TCI (digital) ignition system.
The FZ8 is expected to be fitted with 310 mm hydraulic dual disc brakes at the front and 267 mm hydraulic single disc brakes at the rear end. On the other hand, suspension duties would be handled by upside-down telescopic forks at the front while linked mono shock with spring preload adjustment at the back. There is a great fun to ride this sports bike. The extended wheelbase of 1460 mm offers you a safe and stable ride. On the other hand, the ground clearance of 140 mm makes it suitable for tough and rough conditions. The bike could have a tyre size of 120/70 ZR17 M/C at the front and 180/55 ZR17 M/C at the back. Yamaha FZ8 does not loose control even at higher speeds.
