Overview
TVS is one of the most lovable scooter manufacturers of Indian market which has given a lot of beautiful and comfortable scooters to both its male and female customers. Now, the company has launched the much-awaited automatic scooter ‘Jupiter’ in India. It is based on the ‘Wego’ and is powered by the same 109.7cc engine, which generates maximum power of 7.88 Bhp @ 7500 rpm with maximum torque of 8 Nm @ 5500 rpm. TVS Jupiter is priced at INR 46925 (Ex-showroom Delhi).
Engine & Gearbox
TVS Jupiter has a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, Air-cooled, Electric and Kick-start, Digital IDI with Ignition Map Technology, OHC petrol engine with a maximum power of 7.88 Bhp at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 8.0 Nm at 5500 rpm and has a V-matic transmission. It reaches 0-60kmph mark in just 7.2 seconds with the company claimed mileage of 62 kmpl on the highways and 40 kmpl (expected) in the cities. TVS Jupiter has viscous paper type air filter and a fuel tank capacity of 5.3liters.
Dimensions & Wheelbase
The frame of this scooter is a high rigidity underbone type with the ground clearance of 150mm and saddle height of 765mm. The scooter has a length of 1834mm, width of 650mm and height of 1115mm as its dimension and has a large wheelbase of 1275mm for a stable ride.
Brakes & Suspension
It has 130mm diameter drum brakes at both front and rear wheels. The suspension system is an Advanced Telescopic type at front and Unit Swing with Spring Loaded Hydraulic and Gas-filled Shock Absorber at rear.
