Vehicle Overview | TVS Draken 250 is a concept motorcycle, which now inspires the recently launched TVS Apache RTR 200. It came with premium parts, futuristic technology and a beefier, street fighter looks. The alloy wheel design, tank shrouds and even the front fascia are more or less the same in the RTR 200. TVS will never launch the Draken in India, as it was a concept model for display at Auto Expo. |

TVS Draken 250 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
TVS has always been more like a performer than a show stopper. Its power-packed Apache series has always been high in performance but lacks simply behind as the show off factor always misses out. This time a concept named Draken 250 has been displayed on the 12th Auto Expo. Seems like an Apache on steroids, the concept has much more to offer than what comes at the first look. TVS Draken was a concept bike and the production model based on it is Apache RTR 200.
A totally naked street fighter, Draken has its own birthmark in the form of the brown chassis seen running from the tank to the bottom, making it one of its kinds. The fuel tank looks massive and the exhaust gets its special place with panels around it. With a very aggressive front, the headlamp is sharp and looks pretty innovative. Powering the beast is a 249.2 cc, 4-valve-single cylinder engine which produces 38.5 BHP @ 12,000 rpm and 23 NM @ 9500 rpm. The engine is liquid cooled and mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The performance offered would be brilliant as TVS is more concerned with performance issues than the looks.
The front suspension is the upside-down telescopic forks and rear being managed by offset mono-shock suspension. From the positioning of the monoshock to the big bulky looking front suspension, Draken has everything bold and beautiful. Braking is handled by a single petal disc at the front which seems to be around 280 mm and a petal disc, to be around 200 mm is employed at the rear. However, no exact figures have been provided by TVS.
The Draken offers 170 mm of ground clearance, making it easy to manage every road type in the country and at 134 kg, it seems to be easy while handling. The material used seems to be strong yet lightweight for the TVS Draken. It will arrive with a tyre size of 120/70-R17 for the front and a massive 160/50-R17 for the rear. A totally different shaped alloy has been given to the Draken. Draken has a fully digital instrument cluster which looks more like a rear view mirror of a car, but truly saying feels very futuristic. From speed to time and time to distance everything is housed in a single piece of technology.
