The TVS X electric scooter is a significant departure from the traditional scooters we are accustomed to, and my experience with it has been a mixed bag. On the positive side, the TVS X is incredibly feature-rich, boasting a massive 10.25-inch TFT touchscreen that offers a plethora of functions, including navigation, geo-fencing, and mobile connectivity. The scooters sporty design, inspired by the TVS Creon concept, is both striking and aggressive, making it a head-turner on the road. The chassis, built around a twin-spar aluminum frame, provides exceptional agility and handling, making it a joy to ride, especially in corners. However, there are some teething issues, such as the occasional motor shutdown and the need for better brake calibration, which TVS has acknowledged and is working to resolve. Despite these glitches, the TVS X feels premium and well-built, but its high price point may be a deterrent for many potential buyers.
Price
The TVS X electric scooter is priced at Rs 2,49,990 ex-showroom, making it the most expensive electric scooter in India. This price does not include the cost of the charger, which adds another Rs 16,250 for the portable 950W charger. The on-road price would be even higher, factoring in additional costs such as registration, insurance, and any state-specific taxes.
