Mahindra Centuro NXT

About
The Mahindra Centuro NXT is a feature-laden commuter bike that was designed to stand out in its segment. Powered by a 106.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, it produces 8.5 PS of power at 7500 rpm and 8.5 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm, paired with a 4-speed transmission. The bike features a semi-digital instrument cluster, a 96-bit encrypted remote flip key, Find-Me lamps, and a guide lamp that stays on after the ignition is switched off. The design is highlighted by the Golden Ribs below the fuel tank and a brushed metal finish on the plastic panels. With a kerb weight of 126 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 12.7 litres, it offers a comfortable ride and good handling, making it suitable for both city traffic and occasional long rides. The Centuro NXT also comes with variants featuring a 240mm front disc brake, although ABS or CBS is not available. Despite its discontinuation, it remains a popular choice among those looking for a feature-rich and efficient commuter bike.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra Centuro NXT is a commendable option in the commuter bike segment, especially for those prioritizing features and value for money. While it has been discontinued since March 2020, its legacy remains strong. The bikes design, with the distinctive Golden Ribs below the fuel tank, gives it a unique and premium look. The semi-digital instrument cluster, 96-bit encrypted remote flip key, and features like the Find-Me lamps and guide lamp enhance its usability. However, the power delivery can be a bit peaky, and the lack of ABS or CBS is a notable omission. Despite these, the Centuro NXT offers smooth handling and good manoeuvrability, making it a solid choice for city riding.
Price
The Mahindra Centuro NXT, although discontinued, had a competitive pricing strategy during its time. The ex-showroom price started at around Rs. 54,095. When considering the on-road price, which includes additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, it would typically range from Rs. 63,000 to Rs. 70,000, depending on the state and local regulations. Given its feature-rich profile and the pricing, it was a good value-for-money proposition. However, since the bike is no longer in production, buyers would need to look at used or pre-owned options if they are still interested in this model.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 11:13 AM The Mahindra Centuro NXT boasts an impressive mileage, which is a crucial factor for many Indian buyers. With a claimed mileage of around 85.4 kmpl, it is highly efficient for daily commuting. In real-world conditions, users have reported mileage figures close to 80 kmpl, which is still very commendable. This makes the Centuro NXT an excellent choice for those concerned about running costs and fuel efficiency.

Mahindra Centuro Red Color Bike. I have been using it since 2013, This is one of the best bike for me. People may not believe that after buying only free Servicing has been done and after that, I just changed engine oils as per the needs. Till today my bike is in new condition. The color is the same. Even i have not at all changed any parts. Thanks to Mahindra. I have a request to you must have service center for this particular bike. Thanks.

I purchased Pantero in 2013 in Chennai and since purchase to till date, it is giving a lot of troubles. Very horrible bike and it is a curse to purchase this bike. I am told by the showroom people that Centuro too is having similar type of engine and other specifications except few. Therefore I request every one not to purchase the Centuro. For poor performance of Pantero, I am going to file a complaint against Mahindra in consumer forum. My email is kslnarain@gmail.com and contact no. 98814154888.

Best Features: ONLY LOOKS AND SEAT LENGTH

Pros: NOTHING TO SAY

Cons: MANY THINGS TO BE DISLIKED

Buying a bike was not an easy decision for me. I was quite confused while purchasing new bike so after long research I was planning to go with Mahindra Centuro. Looks and design wise, I am quite satisfied and happy with my motorcycle. Its elegant looks and whole muscular body looks great and it fully satisfy my needs. It has a comfortable pillion seat but needs more improvement specially for the rider. It offers a maximum speed of 105 kmph. The motorcycle does not vibrate up to 70 kmph but as you moves higher and cross 75+ kmph it starts vibrating. It is equipped with 18-inch wheels, it's ride and handling balance is terrific. If you are searching for a bike with a good mileage this bike is definitely not meant for you, and the engine also does not seem to give you a tension free ride in the long run, but the looks and features may attract you and another positive thing for the bike is it's pricing.

Best Features: Stylish & Economical

Pros: Economical, comfortable pillion seat, stylish

Cons: Vibration
