Vehicle Overview Honda CB300F is a naked version based purely on the CBR300R. It carries the same 286cc, single cylinder engine producing 30.4 BHP at 8500 rpm and 27.1 Nm at 7250 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and weighs just 157 kg. The motorcycle uses a smaller 12.90 liter fuel tank and loses all of the front fairing for bulky tank shrouds and small headlight fairing. It uses 37 mm telescopic front forks and may never launch in India. If ever available, it will compete with Mahindra Mojo 300, Bajaj Dominar 400 and the upcoming BMW G310R.

Honda CB300F Review

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

The patent images of Honda's CB300F has been leaked on the internet and it is news that this bike will be the naked version of older CBR300R and is all set for production, according to the leaked certification documents from the California Air Resources board. It is in speculation that this bike will hit the US market first, by the late 2014 or early 2015 and after that it can be launched in India too.

Honda CB300F is totally influenced by the old CBR300R which can be seen through the handlebars, seats, mudguards, tail sections, rear foot-pegs and exhaust.

The only difference between the two is that the CBR300R has full fairing while in CB300F that fairing part is removed. It also leads to change in the dimension figures and weight of motorcycle. A part of Honda CB300F is also inspired from the street-fighter CB500F which includes the headlamps and tank extensions.

The bike can be featured with a dialog-analogue instrument panel which will include a digital speedometer, dual trip-meters, fuel gauge, clock and an analogue tachometer. There is not much to discuss about the specifications of CB300F but it is expected to be powered by the same CBR300R's 286cc, liquid-cooled, mono-cylinder engine that kicks out a maximum power of 30.4 bhp at 8,500 rpm with utmost torque of 27 Nm at 7,250 rpm.

It would be mated to a six speed transmission and a wet multi-plate disc clutch system along with a bore into stroke ratio of 76 and 63 respectively. The suspension duties would be handled by telescopic fork at the front and by pro-link at the back. It can have 296 mm front disc brakes and 220 mm rear disc brakes. It is expected to be available in three shades which could be Black, Red and the Tricolor.

The expected ex-showroom, Delhi price for this amazing street-fighter is INR 1.75 lakhs approx., may vary.
