The Hero XPulse 300 has been spotted testing again in Ladakh, this time alongside two other new models featuring new engines. The test bike showcases a trellis frame, a first for Hero MotoCorps commercially produced bikes, and features such as wire-spoke wheels, knobby tyres, and a full-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. I believe this off-road capability and advanced features will make it a strong contender in the adventure bike segment.

Hero MotoCorp is expected to launch the XPulse 300 and Xtreme 300S in early 2023, marking their entry into the 300cc segment. These bikes will be powered by a new liquid-cooled 300cc engine, expected to produce around 30 bhp and 25 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. I think the competitive pricing, likely around Rs 1.60 lakh, will make these bikes very appealing to Indian buyers.

The Hero XPulse 300 and Xtreme 300S have been spied testing in the Leh Ladakh region, revealing key design elements. The XPulse 300 features a raised front fender, aggressive headlamp cowl, and wire-spoke wheels, while the Xtreme 300S has alloy wheels and a sporty front fascia. I believe the design and features of these bikes will help Hero MotoCorp gain a significant foothold in the mid-size motorcycle market.

The bike will include advanced features like a digital instrument cluster, mobile connectivity, and dual-channel ABS. I think this combination of technology and off-road capabilities will make the XPulse 300 a popular choice among adventure bike enthusiasts.

The Hero XPulse 300 is anticipated to compete directly with bikes like the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 390 Adventure, and BMW G 310 GS. With its expected pricing and feature set, Hero aims to offer a value-for-money option in the adventure bike segment. I believe this strategy could significantly boost Heros market share in the mid-size motorcycle category.
