Latest Updates
Tuesday, 02 May 2023 07:29 PM The Hero Passion XPro has been spotted during a commercial shoot, indicating its imminent launch in India. The new model is expected to feature a sleeker design, including a slimmer fuel tank, bolted shrouds, and a body-coloured cowl. It will also come with an LED projector headlamp and a semi-digital instrument console. I think these updates will make the XPro a strong contender in the commuter segment.
Friday, 21 April 2023 04:41 AM Hero MotoCorp is likely to retain the 109.15cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine for the upcoming Hero Passion XPro, which produces 9.11 PS of power and 9 Nm of torque. The bike will also feature Hero’s i3S start-stop technology to improve fuel efficiency. The suspension will include telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable rear shock absorbers. I believe this engine and suspension combo will enhance the bikes performance and comfort.
Wednesday, 15 March 2023 01:47 AM The 2023 Hero Passion XPro is expected to be priced between Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 75,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it competitive with other commuter bikes like the TVS Star City Plus and Honda Shine 100. The bike will also come with tubeless tyres and an Integrated Braking System (IBS) for enhanced safety. I think the pricing strategy will be a key factor in its market success.
Friday, 10 February 2023 02:11 AM Hero Passion XPro will feature several safety and convenience features, including an LED tail lamp, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a digital fuel gauge, and an integrated USB charger. The bike will also have a firmer and more supportive seat compared to the Passion Pro. I believe these features will appeal to riders looking for a stylish and practical commuter bike.
Wednesday, 01 April 2020 12:26 AM The discontinued Hero Passion XPro had a kerb weight of 113 kg and was equipped with 130mm drum brakes on both wheels, with an optional 240mm front disc brake. The bike had a fuel tank capacity of 9.2 litres and a claimed mileage of 85.6 kmpl. I believe the new model will build on these specifications to offer better performance and efficiency.
Wednesday, 15 January 2020 03:45 AM Hero MotoCorp has been working on updating the Passion XPro to comply with BS6 emission norms. The new model is likely to see a price hike of Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 over the BS4 model, which was priced at Rs 60,900. I think the updates will make the bike more environmentally friendly without compromising on performance.
Saturday, 01 December 2018 08:56 AM The Hero Passion XPro features a tubular double cradle frame, which provides enhanced rigidity and stability. The bike also comes with telescopic hydraulic front forks and 5-step adjustable hydraulic rear shock absorbers, ensuring a comfortable ride. I believe this chassis and suspension setup will make the XPro a reliable choice for daily commuting.
Thursday, 15 November 2018 02:57 PM The bike is available in several dual-tone color options, including Sports Red with Black, Black with Sports Red, Black with Techno Blue, and Black with Heavy Grey. These color schemes give the Passion XPro a sporty and stylish look. I think the color options will appeal to a wide range of buyers.
Saturday, 20 October 2018 01:20 AM The Hero Passion XPro comes with advanced features like the i3S idle start-stop system and Integrated Braking System (IBS), which enhance fuel efficiency and safety. The bike also features tubeless tyres and an anti-slip seat cover for added comfort and safety. I believe these features make the XPro a well-rounded commuter bike.
Sunday, 01 April 2018 05:09 AM The Hero Passion XPro was initially launched in 2018 with a new 109.15cc engine, updated features, and enhanced styling. It included sportier elements like a sharp fuel tank, dynamic tank shrouds, and dual-tone mirrors. The bike also featured Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) and a semi-digital instrument console. I think the original launch set a good precedent for the upcoming model.

Hero Passion xPro Review

29 Dec, 2015 04:53 AM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

Hero Motocorp has launched its first ever 110cc bike. Hero has chosen one of their favourite bikes, Passion to get this honour and they have named the new bike as Passion xPro. Hero aims to utilize the credible image of this brand. Let’s get into the detailing of this new bike.

Design and Style

This new bike gets the mature looks of regular Passion but to differentiate, Hero has made this bike more stylish and aggressive. This time Hero has not just played with stickers only. It may resemble to its younger sibling but its additional length and width is clearly noticeable. It features a new trapezoidal headlamp which complements its restyled tinted visor. The new edgy cowl and clear lens indicators also catch your attention easily. Similar to Passion, this bike also gets body coloured rear view mirrors. Both sides of this bike are given new graphics and style. Its fuel tank now gets new tank extensions with new graphics and xPro written on them. Hero has altered its silencer with a new chrome shield covering. For a change, this bike gets new stepped seat and cropped black coloured grab rail. Its rear fender also gets new treatment and the bike looks wider than its sibling. However there are no changes in its tail light. In terms of appearance, it’s a very good bike and carries the much needed style in its designing.

Instrument Console

Sadly, there are no changes in this department. This bike gets the same instrument console of regular Passion. It features an analogue speedometer and digital fuel gauge, odometer and trip meter. Other indicators and yellow colour for illumination are also familiar.

Engine and Gearbox

This is the biggest USP of this bike. It gets a new mono-cylinder, 4-stroke 110cc engine. This engine can also be seen in Honda’s Twister and Dream Yuga. The power output of this air-cooled, OHC engine is 8.5 bhp at 7500 rpm while its torque output of 9.36 Nm arrives at 5500 rpm. Passion xPro gets a four speed manual gearbox with all gears up-shift pattern.

Acceleration and Performance

Hero Passion xPro feels better than its younger sibling in terms of performance. Its increased torque and power output is quite noticeable. The responsiveness of this engine gives it a certain advantage over others. It’s more nimble and swift than before. With this bike within 7-8seconds, you can reach 0-60km/hr. Gear transitions and gear ratios give you no chance to complain. The bike utilizes most its power in its mid-range which makes it quick in city traffic. Even on highways, the bike manages to achieve a top speed of 95km/hr which is more enjoyable than before. The major concern was to improve its power to weight ratio so that it feels faster than its many light weight competitors and Hero has successfully managed to do so. The refinement level of this engine is surely commendable and its linear power delivery is also impressive. Throttle response is better than its younger sibling and that improves with its well matched gear ratios. At high speeds, there are very less vibrations and it feels better than many other 125cc bikes.

Mileage

One may expect this bike to return a fuel efficiency of around 60km/ltr in city conditions while on highways, these figures tends to increase by at least 5km/ltr. Comfort while Driving Hero Passion xPro This bike even feels more comfortable than Passion due to extra width and length. It has a very comfortable seat with foot pegs set to give you relaxed position while driving. Its extra width allows you to stick your knees around its fuel tank easily. The reach to handle bar is also very convenient. The riding posture may not be sporty but feels very comfortable for day to day usage. Handle bar has been slightly extended to give you better and firm palm grip.

Storage Space and Safety Features

Hero Passion xPro has under seat storage space and bag hook at the back but there is no utility box in it. For safety, this bike comes with optional tubeless tyres and standard features like front leg guard, rear saree guard and powerful headlamp for clear visibility at night.

Suspension and Brakes

The suspension and braking system of Hero Passion xPro makes its way to this bike. It also sports telescopic front forks and adjustable hydraulic rear shock absorbers. This bike is available with an optional front disc brake of 240mm while drum brakes of 130mm on its both wheels are standard in its braking system.

Ride and Handling

The ride and handling of Hero Passion xPro is very impressive. It’s even better than its younger sibling. It handles really nice in city traffic and with its effective suspension and braking system, things just get better. It never gives away the confidence as Hero has extended its wheelbase to provide it extra stability. It has a wheelbase of 1265mm which is best in its class. That’s the reason why despite having the similar tyres of Passion, it feels more comfortable around corners. You get a nice control on this bike and it also remains grounded on highways.

Shades Available

Hero Passion xPro is available in eight eye-catching shades: Black with frost blue, Black with heavy gray, Black with sports red, Electric yellow metallic, Force silver metallic, Leaf green metallic, Sports red and Vibrant blue metallic.

Variants

Hero Passion xPro is available in five variants: Drum Kick Spoke, Drum Self Spoke, Drum Kick Alloy, Drum Self Alloy and Disc Self Alloy.

Verdict

Hero Passion xPro has been priced very competitively. It ranges from INR 46.8-51.8K (ex-showroom, Delhi (approx., may vary)). This bike bridges down the gap between Passion and Glamour. This is a new variety from Hero which will stop buyers from buying its cousin rivals Twister and Dream Yuga. This bike features more stylish looks than Dream Yuga and also comes with an optional disc brake while if you compare it with Twister then xPro has higher fuel efficiency and comfort level. Apart from these factors its price tag, performance and most importantly wide service network of Hero makes it a complete value for money bike. The bike is a nice blend of mileage and performance and proves to be a perfect commuter bike. This step from Hero will bring more credibility to the brand image of Hero and Passion simultaneously.

Excellent Hassle Free Commuter Bike For The Mass Market

It is an attractive commuter bike. The body color rear view mirrors and the fuel tank are the spotlight of the machine, which makes it instantly noticeable. The seating position is upright and the wide and tall handle provides the bike a comfortable position. Its seat cover is made up of high quality material and is convenient for comfort and weather conditions. The foot pegs are quite comfortable which is suitable for both the rider and the pillion. The RVMs are small but appropriate for small sized people. Braking is outstanding and the self-control while braking is remarkably good. Its engine produces good amount of low-end torque. Handling is neutral, it stays planted in the corners and the tyres do the job well. The 65 km/l mileage offers the bike a long range and intercity runs are a joy. Ground clearance is sufficient, with powerful suspension and with two adults, the machine runs superbly even at high speed. The ride quality is on the hard side, but is comfortable at slow speeds and at high speeds, the suspension stays flat, giving confidence to the user.

Good Blend of Performance and Mileage

I bought Passion XPro in 2010 after many researches. My neighbor played a big role in inspiring me. I also checked Twister and Dream Yuga, but the Passion XPro lead in the terms of features. It is more stylish and fuel efficient bike than its rivals and it also supports disc brake which is one of the best feature to be seen in commuter bike. The seating posture and well placed handlebars make every journey pain free. I have traveled a lot on long distance trips with my family of four members (including two kids) and believe me I never faced any comfort problem. I always be a winner of heavy traffic as it offers me good handling. Mileage wise, it is perfect too, it returns me 53-55 kmpl average on city roads. So If you are looking for fuel efficient bike for comfortable ride, Go for it.
