Hero Passion xPro Drum Kick Alloy

About
The Hero Passion XPro Drum Kick Alloy is a commuter motorcycle that borrows its 109.1cc engine from the Hero iSmart 110, producing 9.4PS of power and 9Nm of torque. It features Heros i3S technology to enhance fuel efficiency and comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster that includes a trip meter, fuel gauge, and other essential readings. The bike is available with either drum brakes or an optional 240mm front disc brake, and it rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. The suspension is set up on the firmer side, but it doesnt compromise on ride quality, thanks to the double-downtube cradle chassis. The design is sleek with a blacked-out theme for the engine, exhaust, and alloy wheels, and it includes features like Always Headlamp On (AHO) and DRLs for enhanced visibility. Overall, its a well-rounded package for commuters looking for a blend of style, comfort, and efficiency.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Passion XPro Drum Kick Alloy is a mixed bag when it comes to its overall performance and appeal. On the positive side, it boasts a stylish design with cosmetic enhancements such as a sharper front headlamp, DRLs, and a sharply-designed LED tail lamp, which certainly make it stand out in its segment. The bikes firmer suspension setup, combined with the double-downtube cradle chassis, provides a planted feel and handles bumps and undulations comfortably. However, the engine, while linear and having decent low-end grunt, lacks refinement, especially at higher revs. The heel-and-toe shifter can be cumbersome, and the bikes tendency to tug to the right during hard braking with the 240mm front disc brake is a notable drawback. Overall, its a solid choice for those prioritizing comfort and style, but it may not be the best fit for riders seeking high-performance or refined engine behavior.
Price
The Hero Passion XPro Drum Kick Alloy, although discontinued in April 2020, had a price range that was competitive in its segment. The base variant with alloy wheels and drum brakes was priced at around Rs 58,200 ex-showroom in Delhi, while the variant with a front disc brake was priced at Rs 60,900 ex-showroom. On-road prices would have been slightly higher, typically ranging from Rs 65,000 to Rs 70,000 depending on the location and additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes. While it was pricier than some of its competitors, the additional features and the brands reputation justified the cost for many buyers.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 11:32 AM The Hero Passion XPro Drum Kick Alloy offers a respectable mileage of 85.6 kmpl, which is quite efficient for a commuter motorcycle. This mileage, combined with the larger 13-litre fuel tank, makes it a practical choice for daily commuting, especially in urban and semi-urban areas where fuel efficiency is a key consideration. This makes it an attractive option for those looking to minimize running costs.

Excellent Hassle Free Commuter Bike For The Mass Market

It is an attractive commuter bike. The body color rear view mirrors and the fuel tank are the spotlight of the machine, which makes it instantly noticeable. The seating position is upright and the wide and tall handle provides the bike a comfortable position. Its seat cover is made up of high quality material and is convenient for comfort and weather conditions. The foot pegs are quite comfortable which is suitable for both the rider and the pillion. The RVMs are small but appropriate for small sized people. Braking is outstanding and the self-control while braking is remarkably good. Its engine produces good amount of low-end torque. Handling is neutral, it stays planted in the corners and the tyres do the job well. The 65 km/l mileage offers the bike a long range and intercity runs are a joy. Ground clearance is sufficient, with powerful suspension and with two adults, the machine runs superbly even at high speed. The ride quality is on the hard side, but is comfortable at slow speeds and at high speeds, the suspension stays flat, giving confidence to the user.

Good Blend of Performance and Mileage

I bought Passion XPro in 2010 after many researches. My neighbor played a big role in inspiring me. I also checked Twister and Dream Yuga, but the Passion XPro lead in the terms of features. It is more stylish and fuel efficient bike than its rivals and it also supports disc brake which is one of the best feature to be seen in commuter bike. The seating posture and well placed handlebars make every journey pain free. I have traveled a lot on long distance trips with my family of four members (including two kids) and believe me I never faced any comfort problem. I always be a winner of heavy traffic as it offers me good handling. Mileage wise, it is perfect too, it returns me 53-55 kmpl average on city roads. So If you are looking for fuel efficient bike for comfortable ride, Go for it.
