About
The Hero Electric Optima LX is positioned as The Family E-Scooter and comes with several features that make it appealing for urban use. It is powered by a 250W BLDC hub motor and has a top speed of 25 kmph, which is suitable for city riding. The scooter features a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.536 kWh, alloy wheels, and a reinforced high-strength steel chassis. It also includes amenities like a digital instrument cluster, telescopic suspension, USB port, and LED headlamp. Despite its attractive features and eco-friendly credentials, the Optima LXs overall package is compromised by these significant drawbacks.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Electric Optima LX is a mixed bag when it comes to overall performance and user satisfaction. While it boasts several attractive features such as its environmentally friendly nature, low operating costs, and a smooth, quiet ride, it is marred by significant reliability and service issues. Many users have reported frequent breakdowns, poor brake performance, and a lack of responsiveness from the customer service team. The durability of parts, particularly the battery, has also been a point of contention. Despite its potential as a daily commuter, the numerous complaints about reliability and service make it a risky purchase. If you are considering this scooter, it is crucial to weigh these factors carefully.
Price
The Hero Electric Optima LX, although now discontinued, was priced at around Rs 67,440 ex-showroom in India. When it was available, the on-road price would have included additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could have pushed the total cost to around Rs 75,000 to Rs 80,000. Given its price point, the expectations for quality and service were higher, but the feedback from users suggests that it did not meet these expectations. For a scooter in this price range, buyers typically look for a balance of performance, reliability, and good after-sales service, which the Optima LX seems to lack.

Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 01:10 PM
The Hero Electric Optima LX is designed with daily commuting in mind, offering a range of approximately 85 kilometers on a single charge. This mileage is quite competitive in the electric scooter segment and makes it suitable for short to medium-distance commutes. However, the actual range can vary based on factors such as riding conditions, load, and maintenance of the scooter. Users have reported ranges between 50-60 kilometers in real-world conditions, which is still respectable but slightly lower than the claimed figure. The charging time is around 4 to 5 hours, which is reasonable for an overnight charge. User Reviews for Hero Electric Optima
Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
Within six months of purchase, I had to replace the battery of my hero bike twice. This is unacceptable and I feel the company should take measures to ensure the battery lasts at least one to two years or 10,000 km, or 500 charging cycles. Furthermore, the plastic body of the bike does not offer enough strength for the price. To top it off, the company does not respond to phone calls or emails. This indicates that Hero is an extremely mismanaged organization.
The quality of the material used in the scooter is very poor, and within a couple of months the joint of the seat breaks. Even the material used for children's toys is of higher quality. When you use the brakes, there is no shock absorption. The quality is extremely bad. In addition, there is no indication of the battery level. You should not even consider purchasing this scooter.
The Hero Electric Optima HX is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable electric scooter. With a range of up to 150km, it offers great value for money. The powerful motor and comfortable ride make it a great choice for city commutes and long-distance journeys. The Optima HX is a great buy for those looking for a reliable and efficient electric scooter.
