This electric motorcycle boasts a 10.5 kWh battery, a city range of 121 miles, and a 0-60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds. The S2 Mulholland is part of LiveWires effort to expand its market leadership in the electric motorcycle segment. I think this model could be a game-changer for those looking for a powerful and stylish electric bike.
Wednesday, 21 August 2024 02:20 PM The LiveWire S2 Del Mar has been selected as the best EV bike of 2024 by MCNs annual motorcycle of the year award testing and review process. This recognition highlights LiveWires commitment to quality and innovation in electric motorcycles. I believe this award will help boost sales and credibility for LiveWire.
Monday, 01 July 2024 05:59 PM LiveWire reported a 35% increase in sales in Q2 2024, with 158 units sold, and a triple-digit year-over-year increase compared to 2023. Despite these gains, total sales for the first half of 2024 remain under 300 units. LiveWire aims to sell between 1,000 and 1,500 units in 2024. I think they still have a long way to go to meet their initial sales projections.
Saturday, 01 June 2024 11:06 AM LiveWire received an $89 million investment for Harley-Davidsons York, Pennsylvania factory, where LiveWire motorcycles are produced. This funding, part of the Inflation Reduction Act, will help in expanding domestic electric vehicle production and hiring 125 new employees. This investment is a significant boost for LiveWires production capabilities.
Wednesday, 01 May 2024 03:06 PM LiveWire announced the launch of its Summer Demo Days, allowing potential buyers to experience the thrill of riding an electric motorcycle. This initiative is part of LiveWires strategy to increase awareness and appeal of their electric bikes. I think hands-on experience will be crucial in converting interest into sales.
Thursday, 28 March 2024 09:51 AM LiveWire introduced the S2 Mulholland apparel collection, reflecting the style and design of their new motorcycle model. This move is part of their broader marketing strategy to engage with their audience beyond just the motorcycles. I believe this can help build a stronger brand identity.
Wednesday, 01 December 2021 08:02 AM In December 2021, Harley-Davidson announced it would spin off the LiveWire division as a separate company, LiveWire Group Inc., which went public in 2022. Harley-Davidson retains the majority stake in LiveWire. This move was part of Harley-Davidsons strategic shift under CEO Jochen Zeitz. I think this separation could allow LiveWire to focus more on electric vehicle innovation.
Sunday, 01 September 2019 07:34 AM The original LiveWire electric motorcycle, introduced in 2019, struggled to find buyers due to its nearly $30,000 price tag. Despite its 105 horsepower and positive reviews, sales were weak. This initial model was part of Harley-Davidsons More Roads strategy under former CEO Matt Levatich. I believe the pricing was a significant barrier to adoption.
Sunday, 01 June 2014 07:26 PM Harley-Davidson first introduced the Project LiveWire electric motorcycle in 2014 as part of its More Roads strategy. This was a bold move into the electric vehicle market, marking a significant departure from Harley-Davidsons traditional internal combustion engine motorcycles. I think it was a forward-thinking move, even if it took time to gain traction.
Wednesday, 09 April 2025 06:24 AM The LiveWire S2 Alpinista, the latest addition to Harley-Davidsons electric motorcycle lineup, has been receiving rave reviews for its 84 HP power, low center of gravity, and quick agility. This electric sportbike is a departure from Harleys usual offerings and is praised for its instant torque and handling. However, its market success remains uncertain given the low sales of previous LiveWire models. I think the Alpinistas unique features might attract a niche audience, but its a tough sell in a competitive market.
Wednesday, 26 February 2025 06:44 AM LiveWire has announced a limited-time offer of 1.49% APR on S2 models, aiming to boost sales as the riding season approaches. This financial incentive could make the 2025 LiveWire S2 models more appealing to potential buyers. I believe this move is a smart strategy to attract more customers, especially those on the fence about going electric.
Tuesday, 21 January 2025 01:30 PM The LiveWire ONE electric motorcycle features the Revelation™ powertrain, delivering 100 horsepower and 86 ft. lbs. of torque with linear and constant acceleration. It also boasts a lightweight cast-aluminum frame, SHOWA® SFF-BP® fork, and BFRC™ rear shock for agile and precise handling. The bikes fast-charging capability allows it to reach 80% in just 40 minutes. I think the combination of power and agility makes this bike a compelling choice for urban and open-road riding.
Wednesday, 15 January 2025 12:18 AM Harley-Davidsons electric brand, LiveWire, has been facing financial challenges despite its innovative products. In 2023, LiveWire sold 660 motorcycles but deepened its losses to $125 million. The companys future is uncertain, with analysts expecting continued losses in 2024. I believe LiveWire needs to find a stronger market foothold to justify its investment in electric technology.
Tuesday, 10 December 2024 07:46 AM LiveWires Arrow architecture, which underpins the S2 models, has been designed to be scalable and efficient. This platform allows for the production of motorcycles in 44% less time than the old LiveWire model. The architecture also enables the creation of different weight classes of motorcycles, from S1 heavyweights to S3 lightweights. I think this modular approach could be a game-changer for LiveWires production and customization capabilities.

These bikes are designed for city and open-road riding, offering a range of 113-120 miles on a single charge. I believe the consistency across models could help in building a loyal customer base.

These features enhance rider control and confidence, especially in varying weather conditions. I think these technological advancements make LiveWires bikes more appealing to tech-savvy riders.
Sunday, 15 September 2024 05:19 AM Harley-Davidsons LiveWire brand has been expanding its product line to cater to a broader range of riders. In addition to electric motorcycles for adults, LiveWire also offers electric balance bikes from STACYC for kids.
