Benelli has announced that the BKX 300 and BKX 125 will not be available in the Indian market, despite their global launch. This decision might disappoint Indian riders who were looking forward to these entry-level adventure bikes. I think this is a missed opportunity for Benelli to tap into the growing Indian market.

At EICMA 2024, Benelli showcased the BKX 300, an adventure bike designed for younger riders. The bike features a 292.4 cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 29.2 hp and 24.5 Nm of torque. It also includes a back-torque limiting slipper clutch and a steel double cradle frame. I believe this bike could be a great option for beginners looking for a fun and versatile ride.

Benelli revealed that the BKX 300 will be available at dealers worldwide starting from the second half of 2024. The pricing is yet to be determined, and there is no confirmation on whether it will be available in North America. A 125 cc and 250 cc version will also be launched for some markets. I think the wait will be worth it for those eager to get their hands on this new adventure bike.

The BKX 300 features a modern and eye-catching headlamp design, including a DRL, and a rear light combo integrating parking, stop, and turn indicator lights. The bike also comes with a simple LCD display and a convenient USB socket. I believe these features will make the riding experience more enjoyable and practical.

Benellis BKX 300 is built around a steel double cradle frame, ensuring smooth operation on various routes. The suspension includes a 41mm upside-down fork and a pre-load adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage, both offering 7.1 inches of travel. This setup should provide excellent handling.

The BKX 300s engine has undergone significant updates, including a redesigned combustion chamber, increased intake and exhaust valve diameters, and a new exhaust system with a longer manifold for better torque. A counter balance shaft has also been redesigned to reduce vibrations. I think these changes will enhance the bikes performance and reliability.

The braking system of the BKX 300 consists of a single 280 mm disc with a four-piston caliper at the front and a 240 mm disc with a single-piston floating caliper at the rear. The bike also features spoked wheels with aluminium alloy hubs and rims, fitted with 100/90 and 140/80 tyres. This setup should provide ample stopping power.

Benelli is working on a variant of the BKX 300 with a more off-road oriented 21 front wheel, which will be released at a later date. This variant could appeal to riders who prefer more aggressive off-road capabilities. I think this will be a great addition to the lineup.

The BKX 300 has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres and a seat height of 32.9 inches, making it accessible for a variety of riders. The bike also features a fully digital cluster and an eye-catching headlight with DRL. I believe these features will make the bike appealing to both beginners and experienced riders.
