Bajaj Platina 125 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Bajaj Platina 100cc was introduced in the year 2006 and was based on CT-100. It was categorized in the entry-level segment. The bike was introduced into the markets as the cheapest bike of its segment that competed with Hero Honda. From the time of introduction, the bike has been popular with the buyers in India and outside India also, due to its reduced cost and performance. After stopping Platina 125 for a while, Bajaj has re-launched the Platina 125 in the market.
The New Platina 125 is more or less same in terms of looks and styling like the old Platina 125. The killer looks of New Platina 125 includes premium black shade matte finish alloy wheels, clear lens headlamp, matt finished black silencer with chrome finish footrest, sporty instrument console, new color combination for graphics and decals, graphite tinted engine with transmission and chrome streaked side panels. With the exhaust-TEC engine, it is bound to perform well like the XCD 125 DTS-Si.
The New Platina 125 comes with a few cosmetic changes as well as a modified powertrain unit. New Platina 125 gets all-new body graphics. The engine of New Platina 125 develops a maximum power of 8.5 Bhp of maximum power at 7000 rpm with maximum torque of 10Nm at 4000 rpm. The earlier Platina 125 generated maximum power of 9.5 Bhp with 10.85 Nm of torque.
New Platina 125cc comes with the 5-speed gearbox in opposed to the 4-speed gearbox of the previous one. It has telescopic front suspension with a travel of 125 mm and the world's first SNS (Spring-N-Spring) rear suspension with the longest travel in its class of 100mm. As a result, the ride quality on the Platina is plush and perfectly sorted. The engine has a ride control switch to facilitate the biker to identify the optimum throttle opening to get the top mileage.

Good Bike
I bought this bike from 1 month ago. It's mileage is good. It's suspension is very nice. It's seat is soft but it is narrow for rider. It's sitting position is not good as compare to TVS star city plus and Honda CB Shine. Old Platina kick start bike is good for sitting position.
Best Features: Smooth handling
Pros: Pickup is good
Cons: Sitting position for rider is very bad
