Bajaj CT Review

22 Dec, 2021 10:05 AM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

Bajaj Autos once presented a very powerful rival to Hero MotoCorp's (Formerly Hero Honda) Splendor series in the form of CT 100. It was breaking down the dominance of the Hero Honda Group from the market and made a considerable share till 2006, the date when it was discontinued for the Bajaj Platina and Discover to overtake. The bike possessed down to earth attitude and a very relaxed riding dynamics.

Bajaj CT Style & Design

Re-launching the face-lifted CT 100 by Bajaj Autos can be considered as an effective strategy to control the 100cc market with its variety of styled and economical offerings. Major changes which are seen includes the alloy wheels, new body graphics and a newly designed front frame, which resembles to that of the Platina. The bike comes with a much attractive appeal than ever before and offers more curves and cuts than anyone in the segment.

Bajaj CT Engine & Performance

The new Bajaj CT 100 has the same spirit bound to its roots with the same 99.27cc single cylinder, 4-stroke, air cooled engine which was a great success. It generates 8.1 Bhp of power at 7500 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. Those who had a chance of riding the machine a decade ago know how impressive was the performance and how stable was the riding experience, the new one comes with the same feel, making the old days new once again.

Safety & Control

With its low seat height, it was a nice vehicle as the control over its weight was even better for a person with an average height. The long and comfortable seat was very comfortable for longer rides as many of us would have experienced it during the old times. Also with a 3 inch tyre, which is largest in its segment, Bajaj offers a good road grip for maximum safety. The braking as usual stays normal when compared to others, with both the wheels having drum brakes only.

Comfort while Riding

The SNS suspension was a revolution at that time as it was the protector of every rider from the harsh Indian roads. The technology is again available with the new launch and it ensures that the pillion rider should be in the best of his spirits. The front suspension is equally responsible and overall dynamics of the bike stays stable while riding on unexpected roads also.

Bajaj CT Colours

With the same classic riding experience, the new 2015 CT 100 comes in Electron Blue and Ebony Black shades. The Black represents the former version whereas the Blue shade comes with an all new essence.

Bajaj CT Mileage & Ex-showroom Price

Bajaj CT 100 had an impressive, mind blowing mileage of 89.5 kmpl and the same trend is carried with the new version over the time. The second factor which frightened the other manufacturers was the price. It was very effectively priced in the past but the future prices are much more than just impressive figures. INR 35,034 (spoke wheel) and 38,034 (alloy wheel) for a bike in 2015 and that too which returns 89.5 kmpl. Everyday riding would be made easier by Bajaj and that too with a blend of economy all over.

Verdict

With a true 'Jackpot', Bajaj awaits a revolution!! The impact has slowly moved small city riders in company’s favour. Let’s see what the future of the commuter brings to it.
