Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Honda Achiever, or more accurately the Hero Achiever 150 in its later iterations, is a bike that excels in certain aspects but falls short in others. Its engine, a 149.1cc air-cooled unit, is refined and vibration-free, making it a comfortable ride, especially on highways. The bikes ride quality is commendable, with a plush suspension and a comfortable riding position. However, it lacks the thrill and rush expected from a 150cc bike, and its styling is quite outdated. The addition of features like the automatic headlight on (AHO) and stylish alloy wheels are positives, but overall, it seems to cater more to a mature audience looking for a reliable commuter bike rather than enthusiasts seeking performance.
Price
The pricing of the Hero Achiever 150 in India has been competitive, especially considering its segment. At the time of its launch in 2016, the ex-showroom price was around Rs 61,800. On-road prices would typically include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, pushing the total to around Rs 70,000 to Rs 75,000, depending on the location. This pricing makes it an attractive option for those seeking a cost-effective 150cc bike without compromising too much on performance and comfort. However, its important to note that prices can vary over time and by region.
