It was available in several color options, including Black, Silver Beige Metallic, Plasma Silver Metallic, and Geny Grey Metallic. Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The Honda Eterno STD, although discontinued since 2012, remains a notable mention in the Indian scooter market for its unique features and performance. This geared scooter, powered by a 147.7 cc single-cylinder engine, offers a blend of power and efficiency that was rare in its time. With 8 BHP at 6000 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm, it provided a smooth and efficient ride, especially in city conditions. The 4-speed gearbox, though unconventional for a scooter, added to its appeal for those seeking a more engaging riding experience. However, the lack of modern amenities such as a fuel indicator and effective suspensions are notable drawbacks. Overall, for those who value a robust build, good mileage, and a distinctive riding experience, the Honda Eterno STD is a worthy consideration, albeit with the understanding that it is no longer in production.

Pricing details and changes

The Honda Eterno STD was priced at Rs 45,500 at the ex-showroom in Delhi before it was discontinued. When considering the on-road price, which includes additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, the total would have been around Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000, depending on the state and local regulations. Given its price point, the Eterno offered a good balance of performance, mileage, and build quality, making it a value-for-money option in its time. However, since it is no longer available for purchase new, any current pricing would be relevant only for the used market.

Honda Eterno is the best geared scooter

Summary

After using Honda Eterno for around 10 years, I am very optimistic for launch of a new version.
I think they should add
1) New & effective suspensions
2) Fuel indicator
3) Self-start.
Bcoz,
1) Current Jumpers are not as much effective
2) Fuel indicator for convenience
3) Self-start for convenience, especially for aged people.

✨ Best Features

Build quality, Mileage.

👍 Pros

Worth buying, Start with 1st kick in any season, Even if you start it for the 1st time in a day

👎 Cons

Both front & rear suspensions are not as much effective
