Of all the Bajaj Pulsar siblings, the RS200 has garnered the greatest premium. The price has increased by Rs 5,005 to Rs 1,57,184 (ex-showroom Delhi). It's difficult to justify the motorcycle's higher asking price because it hasn't recently undergone any significant modifications.

I am confused, which bike should I buy – Bajaj Pulsar RS or TVS apache 180 ABS?
29 December 2022 05:58
TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS would be a better option if you do not consider faired bikes to be better than other body types. It comes with the most practical approach in the Indian motorcycle industry, providing the most affordable double channel ABS on a motorcycle. Even the RS200 comes with single channel ABS only. It comes with a 177.4 cc engine producing 17.3 BHP @ 8500 rpm and 15.5 NM @ 6500 rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed unit and the bike comes with a ground clearance of 165 mm. The best part comes to its weight, which comes out to be 139 kg only. The Pulsar RS200 gets a 165 kg of body weight. The RTR 180 ABS comes with a price tag of INR 87,112 whereas the lesser equipped Pulsar comes with a tag of INR 1,30,000. This makes the RTR 180 ABS a better ride over the RS200.

Pulsar RS200 is a great bike for this price

I have once changed the ABS sensor that came for 790. Now the disc cable from ABS unit to Disc drum is busted(they are two cables from hand caliper to ABS unit and then ABS unit to Disc drum ). They say this problem is reported by many users. Bajaj has given longer cables as when I turn the handlebar, it gets impacted with micro damages. It will cost me 1000+600(labor).

Best Features: FI, ABS is troublesome(sensor, disc cables)

Pros: control, responsiveness, looks, mileage

Cons: ABS model has Disc house cable problem, reported by many users

After purchasing Pulsar RS200, I analyze all the features and reviews that is told by company and users. The bike has a eye catching look, great performance, speed as it is a Pulsar. But surprising part is its mileage coz this segment bikes have bad mileage. Yes at high and low speed you will get 30-35 kmpl but medium speed and rpm you will get 40-45 kmpl mileage. Yes there is vibration also but believe me you will love it. May be vibration at high speed and rpm(above 9000) will irritate you but the riding position is very good, fits in racing as well as in long distance travel. Versatile bike coz you can use it racing and long trip as well as in daily commuting. Brakes are well responsive both rear and front. Feels leggy at corner as its heavy weight but good stability at high speed due to its weight. Ground clearance may some time disappoint you specially with two rider. So overall way i will say its full value of money coz in this price you will not get such featured bike. Very good bike but not perfect. If you wants such bikes which have speed, look, performance, versatility and mileage, all in low price then go for it. Thank you

Best Features: 1. looks 2. speed 3. mileage

Pros: 1. look 2. speed 3. mileage 4. sitting position 5. versatility

Cons: 1. vibration at high rpm and near top speed 2. weigh t(not so much issue) 3. ground clearance (during two riders)

The Pulsar RS200 Has been Designed in a perfect way, but coming to the Build Quality, it is so cheap with cheap plastics which annoys you so much while you drive these things vibrate so much. Coming to handling the hand wrists pains a lot, & the spinal too , handle grips are too hard . The best part is speed , & Twin Projector Lamps , LED Tail Lamp , Signal Lamps, ABS.

Best Features: Dual Projector Lamps, Looks, Aero Dynamics

Pros: Dual Projector Lamps, LED Tail Lamp, Digital Speedometer, Seating

Cons: Built with Cheap Plastic, Exhaust Sound, Vibrations, Handling Alignment
