Friday, 31 May 2013 03:09 PM The SEAT Exeo, a large family car, was produced from 2008 to 2013 and was essentially a rebadged Audi A4 B7 generation with unique styling changes to the front and rear. It was built on the Volkswagen Group B7 platform and featured engines mounted longitudinally. The Exeo was available in four-door saloon and five-door estate styles. I think this design approach was clever, leveraging existing technology while giving it a distinct SEAT identity.

This marked the end of an era for SEATs flagship model in the D-segment. I believe the lack of a direct successor left a gap in SEATs lineup that took some time to fill.

At its launch, it was confirmed to be available in just one body style initially, as a four-door, five-seater saloon. The Exeo incorporated interior trim from the Audi A4 Cabriolet and used extensive A4 B6 and B7 interior equipment. I think the Paris Motor Show was the perfect platform to unveil this car, given its European market focus.
