Skoda Superb Reintroduced as CBU, Now Available at Rs 54 Lakh

Skoda has reintroduced the current-generation Superb in India, with a price tag of Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom) for the limited edition of just 100 units. This reintroduction marks the return of the second-generation model to the Indian market after an absence of almost a year. It is important to note that this re-launched model is not the all-new third-generation Superb that made its global debut in November last year.

Exterior and Features

The 2024 Skoda Superb is now exclusively offered in the top-spec L&K trim, which comes equipped with dynamic chassis control and is powered by a 190hp 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine that meets the BS6.2 emission standards. Unlike the previous model, which was discontinued in April last year, this version of the Superb is a fully imported model, not locally manufactured. Water World Green, Magic Black, and Rosso Brunello are the available exterior color options for the Superb.

Interior and Technology

Skoda has enhanced the 2024 Superb with additional features compared to its predecessor. It now includes dynamic chassis control tech, active tire pressure monitoring system, and nine airbags. The exterior paint options are limited to three shades, with 18-inch alloy wheels.A brand new 9-inch infotainment system is also included with the vehicle.

Powertrain

The 2024 Skoda Superb continues to be powered by the familiar BS6 Phase II-compliant 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine. With 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque this engine offers enough power for a thrilling driving experience. Combining a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox with the Superb results in a rapid and effortless driving experience. The Superb is a competitive option in the premium sedan market due to its engine combination which guarantees that it will live up to its reputation as a pleasant and entertaining car to drive.

Future Plans

This new car will be based on popular small SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.
