Tata Motors has not officially announced a new Safari Storme, but a render by Bimble Designs shows what a modern 2024 Tata Safari Storme 4x4 could look like. The design retains the original sheet metal profiling with modernized elements like smoked headlight effects, twin-pod LED DRLs, and new alloy wheels. I think this design would be a hit if Tata decided to bring it back.

The Safari Storme, despite its capabilities, faced stiff competition from the Mahindra Scorpio, which was cheaper and had better fuel efficiency. This competition played a significant role in the Safari Stormes declining sales. I think Tata could have done more to compete on price and efficiency.

Synopsis
Tata has always proven itself in term of the off-road capabilities of its Safari from all the other competitors. No doubt other can do it well, but Tata Safari has always been famous for doing it much better than just well. The proud new Storme gets a totally updated version, made for expeditions only. It has been named Safari Storme Ladakh edition, making it clear that it’s made for the roads less travelled.
The new Safari Storme stays same from its engine point of view and uses the 2179 cc motor, producing 140 BHP and 320 NM of torque. It’s a 4x4 machine, making out the most possible from every kind of terrain. It comes with the same 5-speed manual transmission being used on the normal Safari Storme.
The changes are basically exterior based. It has got the all new styling, starting from the all-terrain tyres for better grip on every type of surface. The tyres are much wider and the suspension would have also been worked upon for a better riding experience. It has got the all new blue theme design, with Grey body cladding all around its body.
It also has a roof mounted storage area, most probably having all the necessary items of trekking like tents, ropes and other equipment. It comes with LED headlamps for much better visibility in non-ideal lighting conditions and a GoPro cam fixed for recording the Ladakh journey.
The vehicle has been specially designed taking care of all the needs of an adventure sport lover, even safeguarding his car from the intense surroundings. The car has been displayed at the Auto Expo 2014 and is expected to stay only as a concept. If ever arrived, it will be for around INR 15-16 lakhs and a fully ready off roader at this price would not be a bad option for every adventure lover.
