The car is a delight to drive, thanks to its precise steering, sharpened driving manners, and a 5-speed manual transmission that is a joy to use. However, the top variants are priced quite high, nearing the range of Marutis own premium hatchback, the Baleno, and the interiors, though modern and feature-rich, lack a premium feel. Despite these drawbacks, the Swifts engaging driving experience, enhanced safety features, and robust build make it a strong contender in the hatchback segment.

The 2024 Maruti Swift is priced competitively in the Indian market, with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 6.49 lakh for the base LXi model to Rs 9.50 lakh for the top-of-the-line ZXi Dual Tone. On-road prices, however, will be higher due to additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which can add around Rs 1-1.5 lakh depending on the state and city. I got my Swift ZXi in May, 2010 and now I have completed 40,000 kms on it. It has got a superb engine and driving it is a real joy. Yeah its steering get heavy at slow speeds but overall its fun to ride at high speeds. It supports ABS system that make my hill trips amazing as it perform really well. It never let me down on curvy roads and I just enjoyed every ride whether it is on city roads or highways. I am getting 14-15 kmpl average on city and 18-19 on highways. I am pretty satisfied with its performance. Inside the cabin, the company has provided comfy seats, Ac vents, spacious legroom and lots of spaces to keep important stuff. On the bad side, its boot space is bit short which creates problem when I have to go for long vacation with my family members.
