Nice Boot Space but Less Features

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the 2012 model of Maruti DZire, but to cater the taxi market, the company has decided not to discontinue the last generation Swift DZire and it will be sold only to the taxi and fleet operators. The car will be sold as 'Swift DZire Tour' and is available in both petrol and diesel. Swift DZire Tour is available in two variants only - one of petrol and one of diesel. The Swift DZire petrol LXi is priced at Rs. 4.88 lakhs and Swift DZire diesel LDi is priced at Rs. 5.91 lakhs. It is a value for money sedan in its segment from Maruti cradle. Though some may not like the styling and design of old Dzire because the boot of doesn't look well integrated to the body but it is expected that the demand for Dzire Tour will be very high.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire is a subcompact sedan made Maruti Suzuki for the Indian market since 2008. It was developed as a variation of the Suzuki Swift hatchback. It is available in a total of 14 variants including both petrol as well as diesel engine trims.

The second-generation DZire Tour starts at Rs. 5.24 lakh for the petrol model including the diesel engine option which costs Rs. 5.99 lakh. The Swift Tour includes features like power windows, air conditioning and dual tone black and beige interiors. It is for the first time that DZire Tour is getting dual-tone interiors.

Swift Dzire Tour is a sedan segment car with the capacity for 5 members to sit. It not only has great and stunning looks but has world class technology and advanced features that make the car a great performer and very economical to run on roads.

It can be described as a stripped down alternative of the current Dzire with a plastic grille, silver-colored steel wheels, and black OVRMs the certain differentiating elements.also including one of the attractive features that are colored bumpers.

Inside, the new Maruti Swift Dzire tour features dual tone black and beige interiors with the seats upholstered in beige fabric. Power windows and a multi-information display seem to be the only major comforts added on. Mechanically, the DZire Tour remains the same. The car uses 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine that produces a maximum of 83 BHP – 115 Nm and 1.3-litre Multijet engine that produces a maximum of 75 BHP – 190 Nm. Both the engine options come only with a five-speed manual transmission. There is no CNG option is not available right now but Maruti is expected to launch variant in the upcoming days. The operating cost of the Maruti Dzire Tour S CNG will be lesser as compared to the petrol and diesel variants. CNG also produces less pollution.

It has major competition with the Hyundai’s Prime and cab variant of Tata Zest. Maruti is totally ready to showcase the all-new DZire. DZire will target young customers and is much more exclusive than its forerunner now.
