Maruti Swift VXi ABS Model

About
The 2024 Maruti Swift VXi ABS model is a well-rounded hatchback that combines style, practicality, and performance. It features a new 1.2L three-cylinder petrol engine, which, although less powerful than its predecessor, offers good low-end torque and a smooth driving experience. The car is loaded with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, rear air-con vents, and a reverse camera. Safety is a strong point, with six airbags, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, ESP, hill-hold assist, and ABS with EBD. The handling is sporty and fun, with a sharp steering feel and good body control, making it enjoyable to drive both in the city and on winding roads. However, the rear seat comfort is somewhat compromised, with firm ride quality and mediocre under-thigh support. Overall, the Swift VXi ABS is a solid choice for those seeking a feature-rich, safe, and enjoyable hatchback.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The 2024 Maruti Swift VXi ABS model is a significant improvement over its predecessors, particularly in terms of features and safety. While it may not be as powerful as the outgoing 4-cylinder model, with only 81 BHP from its new 1.2L three-cylinder engine, it still offers a very enjoyable driving experience. The engine, though not completely vibration-free, is refined enough for most users and provides good low-end torque, making it ideal for city driving. The handling is sharp and fun, thanks to the larger front stabiliser bar and tweaks to the rear suspension, which also improves body control. However, the ride quality for rear passengers can be firm, and the interior quality, while improved, still feels a bit cheap. Overall, its a great choice for those looking for a sporty, feature-packed hatchback that is easy to drive in urban conditions.
Price
The 2024 Maruti Swift VXi ABS model is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant is around Rs 7.49 lakh, though this can vary slightly depending on the state and local taxes. On-road prices, including registration, insurance, and other costs, can range from Rs 8.5 lakh to Rs 9.2 lakh. Given the extensive list of features, including a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic AC, rear air-con vents, and a robust safety kit with six airbags and ABS with EBD, the VXi ABS model offers good value for money. However, its worth noting that the pricing is close to more premium options like the Baleno, which might offer more space and features.

Swift Zxi 1.2L K-Series 2011

I bought this car from 2011 and It's 1.2L K-Series ZXI variant which is the first K-series engine of Maruti, the mileage is increased bit like 2-4 kmpl. The performance of the engine is excellent, but still does not match the performance of 1.3 G13B older engine of esteem which was faster than 1.2 but still this car is very good. The suspension is stiffer side and bit heavy to control but the feedback of the steering is just Fabulous, body roll is decent, ABS, EBD and climate control is my favourite feature if we are talking about build quality It's 1000x times much better than current swift the reliability is brilliant as an enthusiast practicality is decent. That's it.

Best Features: ABS,EBD and climate control is the best feature in ZXI variant.

Pros: The performance of the engine is fantastic, Build quality is 1000x times much better than new 3rd gen swift and 2nd gen stability is great the stiffness of the suspension.

Cons: Alloys size could have been 15 inch, rattling from dashboard, music system is not that great, the quality of plastics.
