Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra Scorpio 4x4 S10 (Diesel) is a robust and reliable SUV that stands out in its segment for its powerful performance and off-road capabilities. With its 2179cc mHawk engine producing 120 Bhp and 280 Nm of torque, this vehicle is more than capable of handling both city driving and rugged terrain. The Scorpios four-wheel-drive system and shift-on-fly 4WD feature make it a favorite among those who enjoy off-roading. However, the ride comfort, though improved, still leaves some room for enhancement, particularly on uneven roads. The vast service network and good value for money are significant positives. Overall, its a great choice for those seeking a powerful, feature-rich SUV with excellent off-road prowess.

Latest Updates
Monday, 11 November 2024 06:12 AM The Mahindra Scorpio S10 4WD, a variant from the 2014-2017 model range, is equipped with a 2.2-liter mHawk CRDe diesel engine, producing 120 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. This SUV features a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-wheel drive system, making it suitable for both on-road and off-road driving. It also includes safety features like ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors. I believe this combination of power and safety makes it a robust choice for those needing a versatile vehicle.
Monday, 11 November 2024 08:33 AM The Mahindra Scorpio S10 4WD AT, available in later models, comes with an automatic transmission paired with the same 2.2-liter diesel engine, offering 120 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. This variant includes features like remote central locking, automatic climate control, and rear parking sensors. The on-road price for this model in Delhi is around Rs. 18.18 lakh. I think the addition of an automatic transmission enhances the driving experience, especially in urban conditions.
Monday, 11 November 2024 10:35 AM In terms of safety, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic, which is based on the older Scorpio model, received a 0-star safety rating from Global NCAP in 2016. However, it does come with dual front airbags and rear parking sensors, with the Boss Edition adding a rearview camera. Despite the safety concerns, the Scorpio Classic remains popular for its durability and off-road capabilities. I believe that while safety is a critical factor, the Scorpios other strengths still make it a consideration for some buyers.

It also features power windows, an LCD display audio system with 4 speakers, and a rear defogger. These amenities contribute to a comfortable driving and passenger experience. I think these features are essential for long drives and daily use, making the Scorpio a practical choice.
Monday, 11 November 2024 11:49 AM The current Mahindra Scorpio models, including the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N, are priced between Rs. 13.62 lakh and Rs. 17.42 lakh. The newer Scorpio N offers significant improvements over the Classic, including better safety features and more refined engines. I believe the Scorpio N is a better value for money, given its enhanced safety and performance.

I got my red colored new Mahindra Scorpio few days ago. It comes with few aesthetic changes which I like the most. The engine used in it is the same peppy powerful but it is now doing its duty more silently. As company claims that they have made many changes, I am pretty disagree to this. I just found changes in front fascia while the side profile is same. Inside the cabin, dashboard is new other features are same. Another aspects of this SUV that is worth mentioning is the spacious and airy feeling in the cabin. The biggest handling problem of previous model is still remains in this SUV. So, If got a chance to exchange my car, I would change it with XUV500.

Few days backs, I bought new Mahindra Scorpio from Chandigarh. Now the face is more aggressive as compared to previous variant. The headlamps, bumper and grille are all new. The new Scorpio is ergonomically quite interesting with all the operational equipment well in reach. The new gearbox in the SUV gives it improved shift quality, clutch is light too so shifting gears needs less effort than before. One of the weakest point of the Mahindra was the ride and handling balance, and company has done great work to improve it. The tyres offer good grip which leads to comfort-ability while having long trips on tough roads. Considering the weight and price of the car, it definitely performs well in the dynamics section too. The after sales service of the company is good and there hasn't been much complaint about the same. The fuel efficiency of the new Scorpio has gone up nearly 1 kmpl, from the previously-claimed 14.7 kmpl.

Pros: Improved dynamics, ride and handling, comfortable, fuel efficient

Cons: Doubtful build quality
