Latest Updates
Wednesday, 07 August 2024 09:12 AM The 2016 Mahindra Scorpio 4x2 S6+ (Diesel) has been discontinued in India, with its last listed price being Rs. 12.54 lakh. This SUV was known for its spacious and airy cabin, though it had some handling issues. I think the discontinuation marks the end of an era for this popular model.
Friday, 18 March 2016 05:24 AM In 2016, the Mahindra Scorpio received a Global NCAP rating of 0 stars for adult occupants and 2 stars for toddlers, highlighting significant safety concerns. This rating was a wake-up call for Mahindra to improve safety features in future models. I believe safety should always be a top priority.
Saturday, 20 February 2016 04:15 AM The 2016 Mahindra Scorpio S6+ came with a 2179 cc diesel engine, producing 120 Bhp @ 4000 rpm. It also featured power steering, rear defogger, and power windows, making it a comfortable ride. The top speed of this SUV was 150 kmph. I think the engine performance was quite impressive for its time.
Friday, 15 January 2016 06:09 PM Owners of the 2016 Mahindra Scorpio often praised its aggressive front fascia, new headlamps, and improved gearbox, which enhanced the driving experience. However, some users noted that the ride and handling balance was still a weak point. I believe these improvements were steps in the right direction.
Thursday, 10 December 2015 03:43 AM The 2016 Mahindra Scorpio had an ARAI-certified mileage of 15.4 kmpl, which was a slight improvement over its predecessor. This made it a bit more fuel-efficient, which is always a plus for Indian consumers. I think this was a welcome change.
Friday, 20 November 2015 11:20 AM In 2015, Mahindra introduced a revised automatic variant of the Scorpio, but this was later discontinued in 2018. The automatic transmission was a convenient feature, but its discontinuation was likely due to market preferences. I think the manual transmission remained popular for its control and fuel efficiency.
Sunday, 25 October 2015 12:04 PM The 2016 Mahindra Scorpio featured several comfort and convenience features, including cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and an anti-pinch smart window. These additions made the SUV more appealing to buyers looking for a comfortable ride. I believe these features enhanced the overall driving experience.
Tuesday, 15 September 2015 04:42 AM The exterior of the 2016 Mahindra Scorpio included aesthetic changes like a bonnet scoop, side cladding, and a chrome front grille. These design elements gave the SUV a more aggressive and stylish look. I think the design updates were well-received by fans of the Scorpio.
Thursday, 25 September 2014 10:33 AM In 2014, the Mahindra Scorpio received a facelift, which included a redesigned front and rear fascias and a new dashboard. This update aimed to refresh the SUVs appearance and appeal to new buyers. I believe this facelift helped keep the Scorpio competitive in the market.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 03:56 AM The 2016 Mahindra Scorpio was praised for its spacious cabin and comfortable seating, making it a favorite among those who valued interior space. However, some users noted that the build quality was sometimes doubtful. I think the spaciousness was a significant selling point.

I got my red colored new Mahindra Scorpio few days ago. It comes with few aesthetic changes which I like the most. The engine used in it is the same peppy powerful but it is now doing its duty more silently. As company claims that they have made many changes, I am pretty disagree to this. I just found changes in front fascia while the side profile is same. Inside the cabin, dashboard is new other features are same. Another aspects of this SUV that is worth mentioning is the spacious and airy feeling in the cabin. The biggest handling problem of previous model is still remains in this SUV. So, If got a chance to exchange my car, I would change it with XUV500.

Few days backs, I bought new Mahindra Scorpio from Chandigarh. Now the face is more aggressive as compared to previous variant. The headlamps, bumper and grille are all new. The new Scorpio is ergonomically quite interesting with all the operational equipment well in reach. The new gearbox in the SUV gives it improved shift quality, clutch is light too so shifting gears needs less effort than before. One of the weakest point of the Mahindra was the ride and handling balance, and company has done great work to improve it. The tyres offer good grip which leads to comfort-ability while having long trips on tough roads. Considering the weight and price of the car, it definitely performs well in the dynamics section too. The after sales service of the company is good and there hasn't been much complaint about the same. The fuel efficiency of the new Scorpio has gone up nearly 1 kmpl, from the previously-claimed 14.7 kmpl.

Pros: Improved dynamics, ride and handling, comfortable, fuel efficient
