Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda WR-V Automatic, while not the most feature-rich option in its segment, stands out for its robust fundamentals. The vehicles driving comfort, particularly in the city and on rough roads, is commendable. The 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine, though audible, offers a linear and predictable powerband, making it suitable for everyday driving. However, the absence of an automatic gearbox in earlier models is a notable omission, though the CVT transmission in newer variants does a decent job. The interior space, including the 363-liter boot and ample legroom, is a significant advantage. Additionally, the sunroof, cruise control, and thoughtful features like cooled cup holders enhance the overall driving experience. Despite some criticisms about the infotainment system and pricing, the WR-Vs reliability, ride comfort, and handling make it a solid choice for those seeking a practical and comfortable compact SUV.
Price
The Honda WR-V Automatic in India is priced competitively within its segment. The ex-showroom price ranges from approximately 9.5 lakh to 12.5 lakh, depending on the variant and location. On-road prices, including taxes and other costs, can go up to around 11.5 lakh to 15 lakh. While some might find it slightly overpriced compared to its competitors, the WR-Vs build quality, spacious interior, and Hondas reputation for reliability justify the cost. Its essential to note that prices can vary based on the state and local taxes, so its advisable to check with local dealers for the most accurate pricing.

A compact vehicle which can carry the whole family

I bought the WR-V diesel on Oct 2022. Everyone including some of the Honda dealers telling me to go for some other model. I had made up my mind by then and went ahead and bought it from Magnum Honda on Kanakapura Road Bengaluru. I have started going around quite a lot in the car and to my delight, the WR-V works just as expected. In the city(Our city is an excellent place for bumper-to-bumper traffic) driving is limited mainly to 3rd gear(20-40 kph). thankfully I do not have to downshift often... Since it is a 4-meter. car, parking is easier to find. The boot is enough for monthly visits to the supermarkets for groceries and vegetables together. My mother finds it easy to get in and out of the car. The legroom is great with a good inclining spot to keep your feet comfortable. My daughter normally connects her Android phone immediately to the ICE via Android Auto and makes us listen to strange Korean and funny Japanese stuff. The sound quality is good and clear. I use Google maps which feeds off your mobile...Only voice commands are allowed.... which is annoying considering the accuracy of the system's understanding of the command. Climate control is amazing considering the fact that there are no vents for the rear seats. The whole cabin is comfortable and easy. we are not 6-footers, so the tiny headrests are Ok for us...Only the middle armrest is sorely missed... Front seats as with all cars of this class are great. The one thing in the WR-V is the view from the inside. You get to see a whole lot outside, especially in traffic. On the highways, this car is the king of Mileage...23+/liter is the most common reassurance. The cruise control is cool to use(you need to get used to it) There is not much glare from the oncoming vehicle headlights. The most important thing here is that the ground clearance works on highly potholed roads... I am happy with my vehicle. The long-term use only time will tell, but given the brand, I can rest assured. I have driven on 560

Best Features: Cruise control, Mileage, Pickup, Ground clearance, sedan like feel inside the cabin

Pros: Space, Ground Clearance, Mileage, Ease of driving, View of the outside from inside

Cons: Trival imbalance in the positioning of the front armrest, No armrest in the back
