Ford India has launched the upgraded model of 2010 Fiesta in Indian market and it is known as 'Classic'. The car is based on similar platform and resembles the current generation Fiesta in terms of design and styling. Ford India has priced the Ford Classic less than the last generation Fiesta and they will be selling Ford Classic and 2011 model of Fiesta simultaneously. This is the best strategy to cash-in by selling two generations of cars like Hyundai did with Accent and Skoda did with Octavia. The top model of Ford Classic comes with remote central locking, power steering, power windows, AC, double DIN music system, fog lights, alloy wheels, two airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution).

The new vibrant automotive design of Ford Fiesta Classic is a seamless mixture of style and power. Its aggressive grille, well-built bonnet, sporty wheel curves and chrome-finished side panels gives it an overall strong look. It reaches 100 km in only 11.43 seconds. The 1400cc DuraTorq turbo diesel engine develops maximum power of 68 bhp at 4000 rpm with maximum torque of 16 kgm at 2000 rpm. The engine is mated to five speed manual gearbox. Loaded with a host of ingenious features, the Ford Classic ensures that technology is used in every possible way to make your drive that much more exciting. It is also equipped with a DTE (Distance to Empty meter) which displays the estimated distance the vehicle can travel before it runs out of fuel.
