Our take on this /// Verdict
The Fiat Punto Evo Active (Petrol) is a solid choice for those seeking a blend of style, comfort, and driving pleasure. While it may not be the most powerful car in its segment, its 1.2-litre FIRE petrol engine, producing 67.1 bhp and 96 Nm of torque, is rev-happy and enjoyable on the highways. The cars ride quality and handling are its forte, making it a joy to drive on both city roads and long highways. However, the gearbox can feel a bit rubbery, and the car lacks initial punch below 2000 rpm. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Punto Evo Active offers great value for money, especially considering its sturdy build quality, excellent steering feedback, and comfortable ride. If you prioritize driving dynamics and a robust build, this car is definitely worth considering.
Price
The Fiat Punto Evo Active (Petrol) was priced competitively in the Indian market before its discontinuation. The ex-showroom price for this variant was around Rs. 4.92 lakh. However, the on-road price would have been slightly higher, typically ranging between Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Although Fiat has discontinued its range of cars in India, any remaining BS4 stock might still be available at some FCA dealers, potentially offering a good deal for those looking for a reliable and well-engineered hatchback.
