How does the Ashok Leyland Dost Strong compare to its competitors, the Tata Ace Gold or the Mahindra Jeeto?
03 February 2025 06:09
The Ashok Leyland Dost Strong is known for its robust engine and higher payload capacity compared to its competitors. It offers a strong 1.5L diesel engine producing 70 hp, which is more powerful than the Mahindra Jeeto and Tata Ace Gold. The Dost Strong also features a larger payload capacity, making it ideal for businesses requiring heavy lifting. However, the Mahindra Jeeto is praised for its fuel efficiency and durability, while the Tata Ace Gold is popular for its reliability and widespread service network.
Does the Mahindra Jeeto Plus truly redefine the business of small businesses?
27 December 2024 09:34
For someone who has driven the Jeeto Plus and also driven competitor Tata Ace, I will say that the Jeeto Plus has its place. It’s not the best in every category but it’s a pretty good all rounder. One of the biggest selling points is the fuel efficiency with rising fuel prices. It’s hard to beat for urban deliveries and small loads. Don't expect it to perform like a larger, more expensive truck, though.
How do the Indian roads work for the Jeeto Plus?
27 December 2024 09:34
The Jeeto Plus is fine for city roads, but rural roads are a different story. The suspension bottoms out on really bad patches and I've had issues with it. If you plan to use it mostly on well kept roads, then you will be fine. However, if you’re looking for something to get you through serious off road or damaged roads to the point where they’re heavily damaged, then you might want something with more ground clearance.
Is the Jeeto Plus payload capacity practical?
27 December 2024 09:34
I reckon the 715 kg capacity is a bit optimistic. The truck can carry that much, but it’s a real struggle if you try to load it all up. And while it feels sketchy and the handling is a bit sketchy, fuel efficiency takes a big hit. For better performance and safety I keep it under 500 kg. It’s still useful, but it isn’t going to perform miracles for you.
In real world conditions, how does the Jeeto Plus’s fuel efficiency rate?
27 December 2024 09:34
I've driven a few mini trucks so I'd say Jeeto Plus is better in terms of fuel efficiency than most but not revolutionary. More impressive, though, is how it maintains decent efficiency when loaded. The Jeeto Plus is able to handle heavy loads better, which is something many competitors see a big drop in mileage with.
Does the Jeeto Plus really have as low a maintenance cost as Mahindra claims?
27 December 2024 09:34
I haven't been surprised at all by the maintenance cost. The Jeeto Plus feels much more modern and reliable, than what I am used to coming from an older Tata Ace. After the first year of ownership, I haven’t had any major issues. A big plus with the longer service intervals is reduced downtime. I can’t vouch for the exact 22 paise per km claim, but at the very least, I’m feeling like I’m spending less on maintenance in total.
Is the Mahindra Jeeto really a ‘mini truck for winners’ or just overhyped marketing?
27 December 2024 09:25
Winners? If you ask me, it's more of a "mini truck for constant repairs." Honestly, I’ve spent more time in the service center than I have actually using it for my business. For heavy loads, the single cylinder engine just won't do. Don't save your money on something that will not stand the test of time.
Does the Mahindra Jeeto’s CNG variant make sense for urban delivery businesses?
27 December 2024 09:25
On paper, CNG sounds great, but it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Long routes have been nightmares finding CNG stations. And sometimes I spend more time and money trying to refuel than I save in fuel costs. Unless you're only doing short city runs, it's just not practical.
Is 700-815 kg of payload capacity enough for most small businesses?
27 December 2024 09:25
Being one who swapped from a larger truck to the Jeeto, I actually like the payload limit. This makes me more efficient with my loads and has ultimately helped me squeeze the best out of my business operations. There are times when limitations are a good thing.
The Mahindra Jeeto’s comfort and ergonomics for drivers doing long hours?
27 December 2024 09:25
I work 10-12 hour shifts in my Jeeto and, to be honest, it’s not bad. The controls are easy to reach and the seat's decent. It’s no luxury car, but for a mini truck it’s surprisingly comfortable. So that’s a win in my book, my back doesn’t kill me at the end of the day.
Has the Mahindra Jeeto been a game changer for last mile delivery as promised?
27 December 2024 09:25
It's been a solid player, I think it might be a little bit of a stretch to call it a game changer. It's opened up possibilities we didn't have before for small businesses like mine. Many of us have been able to expand our operations based on the affordability factor alone.
What is the down-payment and monthly EMIs for Mahindra Jeeto Diesel?
28 December 2022 13:17
Mahindra Jeeto comes with an on-road price tag of around INR 3 lakh and you can buy the same by paying around INR 30,000 as the down payment and rest in simple EMI's for next 2-5 years. The amount can be paid in 5 years with INR 6,000 as an EMI and 12.5 percent of rate of interest. Jeeto comes with an option of 2 engine powers, 3 payloads and 3 deck lengths for more personalized feel in the pick-up segment.
Why Mahindra not installing Mahindra Jeeto's engine to a car?
28 December 2022 13:12
The reason behind not installing the Jeeto's engine into a car is because it has been made with the purpose of weight carrying and transport. The engine has enough power but it lacks the top speed factor. A car with a top speed of 50 kmph would not be a practical option indeed. Also, the engine is rough when compared to the engine being used in the cars. It produces a lot more noises and vibrations than a normal car engine. This would have kept the quality of the drive low every time. The mileage does not include any extra weight on the Jeeto whereas making it a car would have put some extra weight onto it, with 4 more passengers than it has been counted for Jeeto. Also, the provision of AC would have made the car feel low on power and low again on the mileage factor.
What is the top speed of Mahindra Jeeto?
28 December 2022 13:11
Mahindra Jeeto has been made with the intention of weight carrying and its top speed would not be more than 60-70 kmph, neither of which is a tested value till yet. Empty Jeeto could run quick but with 600 kg and 2 passengers in the pickup, it will make it difficult to achieve a high speed. The small engine is specially designed to meet the fuel efficiency requirements and the city driving conditions, for which a smart looking interior has also been provided in the Jeeto. The car like drive makes it unique from the competitors and its 625 cc, water cooled engine makes out 38 NM of torque. The power options available for the Jeeto are 11 HP and 16 HP. The pickup comes in variety of colors and a starting price of 2.31 lac.

What is the actual mileage of Mahindra Jeeto Diesel?
28 December 2022 13:11

The Mahindra Jeeto provides multiple options to the customers, which includes their optional engine power, optional deck length and payload capacity. The 625cc, single cylinder water cooled motor on the Jeeto makes 11 HP and 16 HP in two different power options. The torque value stays at 38 NM.
