In real world conditions, how does the Jeeto Plus’s fuel efficiency rate?
The Jeeto Plus should be impressive on fuel efficiency according to Mahindra, with CNG models returning up to 35.1 km/kg and petrol versions 21.2 km/l. These numbers are often a very big selling point for potential buyers, especially small business owners looking to cut down their operational costs. Real world fuel efficiency is highly dependent on driving conditions, load, maintenance, and driving style however. There are some users who report getting close to the claimed figures and others who say their real mileage comes short. Some debate also exists around the fuel efficiency of the Jeeto Plus compared to its competitors in the same segment and whether the fuel savings potential justifies the initial investment for the Jeeto Plus. We will take a look at different user experiences and opinions on if the Jeeto Plus really lives up to its fuel efficiency claims in daily operations.
The Jeeto Plus, however, has been pleasantly surprising me in terms of fuel efficiency. I don’t quite reach the advertised numbers, but I do get about 30 km/kg with my CNG model in city driving. Definitely better than my old Tata Ace. It comes down to regular maintenance and not overloading.
My experience is that the fuel efficiency claims are a bit exaggerated. With my petrol Jeeto Plus, I’m getting about 18-19 km/l, which is good, but not great. But it drops even further when loaded fully, or in heavy traffic. It's still economical, but do not expect miracles.
The fuel efficiency of the Jeeto Plus, I think, is its strongest point. You won’t hit the exact advertised numbers, but it’s more efficient than most competitors anyway. With the mini-truck, I am saving a good chunk on fuel costs which makes a huge difference for my small business.
It’s very much dependent upon how you drive. With careful driving and light loads though, I can get close to the claimed figures. It's about 15 to 20 percent lower under typical city conditions with frequent stops and starts. But, for its class, it’s pretty good.
I've driven a few mini trucks so I'd say Jeeto Plus is better in terms of fuel efficiency than most but not revolutionary. More impressive, though, is how it maintains decent efficiency when loaded. The Jeeto Plus is able to handle heavy loads better, which is something many competitors see a big drop in mileage with.
