Is 700-815 kg of payload capacity enough for most small businesses?

To businesses, payload capacity of a commercial vehicle is critical to operational efficiency and profitability. Depending on the variant, the Mahindra Jeeto gives a payload capacity of 700 kg to 815 kg. It has this capacity, which makes it competitive in the mini truck segment. But opinions differ on whether that’s enough to meet the diverse needs of small businesses. It's argued by some that it's plenty for most urban delivery and small scale transportation needs, while others say that it doesn't go far enough for businesses that occasionally need to carry heavier loads. It also raises questions about how the payload capacity compares to competitors in the same price range and whether the trade off between payload and the vehicle’s compact size is worth giving up for maneuvering in a crowded urban environment.

Being one who swapped from a larger truck to the Jeeto, I actually like the payload limit. This makes me more efficient with my loads and has ultimately helped me squeeze the best out of my business operations. There are times when limitations are a good thing.

I guess the payload is not really a problem but the problem is how the truck behaves when it's loaded. At max capacity mine feels a bit unstable and underpowered. I'd much rather have a slightly lower payload and better performance.

Let’s be real, you shouldn’t be looking at a mini truck if you need to carry more than 800 kg on a regular basis. This is the sweet spot for small businesses. It's not some heavy duty hauler.

I find the payload limiting. It’s fine most days, but there are times when I need to carry more and I end up making two trips instead of one. That extra 100 – 200 kg capacity would make the world of difference.

The Jeeto's payload is spot on for my courier service. I only have to carry less than 700 kg and the compact size makes it a breeze to manoeuvre in tight city streets. It’s just a matter of getting the right balance for your specific needs.
