About
The Chevrolet Enjoy is a 7-8 seater MPV that was designed to offer spacious interiors and practicality. It comes with two engine options a 1.4-liter petrol engine producing 102 bhp and a 1.3-liter diesel engine producing 76 bhp, both paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The vehicle features a rear-wheel drive configuration, which enhances its drivability under heavy loads. The interior is equipped with amenities like rear AC vents, tumble fold seats, and a three-spoke steering wheel with audio controls. However, the interior design and materials lack a premium feel. The suspension, comprising McPherson struts at the front and a five-link setup at the rear, handles Indian road conditions well. Despite its practicality and spaciousness, the Enjoys poor safety ratings and lackluster interior quality are significant drawbacks.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Chevrolet Enjoy, particularly in its CNG variant, is a practical and spacious MPV that caters well to the needs of large families or those who require ample seating and cargo space. However, it falls short in several critical areas. The safety ratings are a significant concern, with a zero-star rating for adult occupants in Global NCAP tests, which is a major deterrent for any potential buyer. The performance of the petrol engine is not its strongest point, feeling unrefined and lacking the punch needed for swift acceleration. On the other hand, the diesel engine offers better tractability and is more suited for the character of this MPV. The suspension is commendable, handling Indian roads with ease, but the interior lacks a premium feel, with basic plastics and design. Overall, while the Enjoy has its strengths, its weaknesses, especially in safety and interior quality, make it a less compelling choice in a competitive MPV market.
Price
The Chevrolet Enjoy, although discontinued from new sales since 2017, can still be found in the used car market. When it was available, the prices ranged from around Rs. 6.24 lakhs for the base variant to Rs. 8.79 lakhs for the top-end variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). On-road prices would have been higher, typically adding another Rs. 1-2 lakhs depending on the state and local taxes. For a used Chevrolet Enjoy CNG, prices would vary widely based on the condition, mileage, and location of the vehicle. You could expect to pay anywhere from Rs. 3 lakhs to Rs. 6 lakhs, depending on these factors. Its crucial to inspect the vehicle thoroughly and negotiate based on its condition to get a fair deal.
Latest Updates

As of the latest updates, there are no new developments or announcements regarding the Chevrolet Enjoy CNG. General Motors Indias exit from the Indian market has put any such plans to rest. Its clear that the focus has shifted entirely to other brands and models.

There has been ongoing speculation about the potential for alternative fuel options in Indian vehicles, including CNG. Although the Chevrolet Enjoy CNG never materialized, other manufacturers have explored such options, indicating a growing interest in fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles. I think this trend will continue to shape the Indian automotive market.
Thursday, 18 May 2017 08:33 PM
General Motors India announced that it would discontinue sales of all its products in India, effective December 31, 2017. This meant that any plans for the Chevrolet Enjoy CNG were officially scrapped, and the company would focus on exporting vehicles from its Indian facilities. I believe this was a significant blow to the Indian automotive market, especially for fans of Chevrolet vehicles.

In safety tests, the Chevrolet Enjoy, which could have included a CNG variant, received a zero-star rating for adult occupants and two stars for children. The lack of safety features like airbags and ISOFIX anchorages was a major concern. This highlights the importance of prioritizing safety in all vehicle variants, including potential CNG models.

Despite being spotted testing, the Chevrolet Enjoy CNG was never officially launched in the Indian market. General Motors India seemed to have shelved the plans for the CNG variant, focusing instead on the existing petrol and diesel models. This decision might have been due to various market and regulatory factors.

The Chevrolet Enjoy CNG was spotted testing in India, indicating General Motors Indias plans to introduce a CNG variant of the Enjoy MPV. This move could make the vehicle more appealing to customers looking for a fuel-efficient option. I think this could be a smart move to boost sales in the competitive MPV segment.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 11:41 PM
The mileage of the Chevrolet Enjoy varies significantly between its petrol and diesel variants. For the CNG variant, which is essentially based on the petrol engine with a CNG kit, you can expect a mileage of around 10-12 kmkg, though this can vary based on driving conditions and the efficiency of the CNG kit. The diesel variant offers a better ARAI mileage of 18.2 kmpl, but since we are focusing on the CNG version, the petrol-based CNG mileage is what you should consider. This makes it a relatively economical option for city driving and short trips, but running costs will depend on CNG prices in your area.

User Reviews for Chevrolet Enjoy
Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
Overall, the buying experience was very nice. The car was able to take us on long trips from Maharashtra to Goa and Hampi without any issues. After 6 years, the engine is still running strong with no problems. We purchased the 8-seater petrol variant and it looked really good. It is great on highways and the service by Chevrolet has been great. Although they have stopped selling the car, they still provide good service and parts availability. The car's average performance is what we would expect from an 8-seater MPV, but the ground clearance is a bit low.
The Chevrolet Enjoy is the perfect low budget 7/8 seater vehicle for those who are looking for value for money. It comes packed with features like ABS, EBD, height adjustable driver's seat, rear AC vents, cup holders (front), rear seat headrest, rear reading lamp, multifunctional steering, power steering, power windows (front and rear), electrically adjustable exterior rear view mirror, rear parking sensors, and leather seats.
Its 4307 mm of overall length ensures that there is enough legroom and space for the second and third row passengers. The best part is that all these features come at an on-road price of just ?8.4 Lacs, making it far more economical and attractive than other 7/8 seater vehicles from TATA and Mahindra. With the Chevrolet Enjoy, you get the perfect combination of features, comfort, and value for money.
The Chevrolet Enjoy has been an excellent choice for me, providing a comfortable ride for 7-8 people. Its power and shock absorption are both good, providing a smooth ride even over long distances. The air conditioning is also decent, keeping the cabin cool during the hot summer days. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the Chevrolet Enjoy to anyone looking for a family car in this segment.
The Chevrolet Enjoy is an ideal car for long family trips. It offers great economy and a comfortable third-row seat. The Enjoy is also great for service - there are only a few select service points but the quality of service is great. Overall, the Chevrolet Enjoy is a great car for families who want to make long journeys.
The service side is so strong and hope they do the same for rest of the years.
Best Features: Leather finished seat & audio system/speakers
Pros: Exterior and driving quality.
Cons: No bottle holders for center, rear passengers & front seat hand rest.
