This decision was part of the companys strategy to utilize its Indian facilities for export markets only. The Beat, including the LS Petrol variant, was one of the models affected by this decision. I believe this move was a significant blow to Chevrolets presence in the Indian market.

This update was expected to feature Chevrolets latest MyLink infotainment system, supporting Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, along with other cosmetic and interior changes. However, this launch did not materialize as planned due to the companys decision to exit the Indian market. I think the updated features would have made the Beat a more competitive option in the hatchback segment.

I think this engine provided a decent blend of performance and fuel efficiency for its class.
