The 2025 Yamaha Tenere 700 has been unveiled with several significant updates, including a new fully-adjustable USD fork and a revised rear shock with a progressive linkage. The bike also features a new ride-by-wire throttle, enabling Sport and Explorer riding modes, and a redesigned clutch cover to reduce leg interference. Additionally, the fuel tank has been relocated lower and further forward to improve mass centralization. I think these changes will make the bike more competitive in the adventure segment.

Yamaha has introduced a new Rally model of the Tenere 700 for 2025, which includes fully-adjustable Kayaba suspension, a thicker aluminum skidplate, and titanium footrests. This model boasts increased suspension travel and ground clearance, making it more suited for intense off-road riding. The Rally model also features a high front fender and larger footrests for better control. I believe this variant will be a hit among serious off-road enthusiasts.

The 2025 Tenere 700 now comes with a new 6.3-inch full-color TFT screen, mounted in a vertical position, which controls electronic functions such as switchable ABS and traction control. The bike also features a new headlight design with rectangular lenses and updated bodywork, including new turn signals and hand guards. I think the improved electronics and design will enhance the overall riding experience.

Yamaha has added a lowered version of the Tenere 700 for 2025, designed to be more accessible to shorter riders. This version has a lower seat height of 33.9 inches and reduced suspension travel, ensuring the bike still performs well despite the adjustments. I believe this move will make the bike more inclusive for a wider range of riders.

The engine of the 2025 Tenere 700 has been updated with a shorter intake duct to boost torque and comply with Euro 5+ emission standards. However, the horsepower and torque figures remain unchanged at 73.5 horsepower and 50 pound-feet, respectively. I think this balance between performance and emissions is a smart move by Yamaha.
