TVS is planning to convert one of its most reliable workhorses in India into an electric two-wheeler. A design patent for an electric TVS XL has been leaked online and it looks quite similar to its petrol-powered sibling, the TVS XL100.

This translates to an average of 1,348 mopeds sold daily. The mopeds popularity is attributed to its affordability, efficiency, and load-carrying capacity, especially in rural India. I believe this consistent demand highlights the XL100s enduring relevance in the Indian market.
