Our take on this /// Verdict
The TVS Star City Plus is a commendable choice for those seeking a reliable and efficient commuter bike in India. It offers a smooth performance, great fuel efficiency, and a comfortable ride, making it ideal for daily commuting. While the engine may feel a bit gruff, especially when revved, it provides adequate power for urban riding and is engaging to handle, thanks to its precise 4-speed gearbox. The bikes chassis and suspension setup ensure good stability and comfort, even on rough roads. However, it lacks some basic features like a trip meter and side-stand indicator. Overall, its a practical and no-nonsense commuter that balances affordability, fuel efficiency, and comfort.
Price
The TVS Star City Plus is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for the Disc variant is around Rs 72,255, which is on par with its rivals from Hero. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to around Rs 85,000 to Rs 90,000, depending on the state and local taxes. Given its features, performance, and reliability, the Star City Plus offers good value for money, making it an attractive option for those looking for an affordable commuter bike.
