Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

With its sleek and modern design, the TVS Raider makes a statement on the road. It's not just flashy, but also powerful, with a 125 cc engine that is capable of reaching speeds up to 99 km/h. It also has an impressive fuel economy, with an average of 70 km/l, making it a great option for those looking to save money. The Raider is also an overall great package, with a host of features such as an adjustable rear suspension, a digital instrument cluster, and a tubeless tires. This makes it a great choice for those looking for a reliable, budget-friendly motorcycle.

Recent news and announcements

The TVS Raider continues to impress me as a practical choice in India's 125cc commuter segment. Powered by a 124.8cc air and oil-cooled engine, it delivers 11.38 PS at 7500 rpm with a best-in-class 11.75 Nm of torque, making city riding responsive and effortless. The claimed mileage of 71.94 kmpl is genuinely impressive for daily commuting, translating to real savings at the pump. What stands out most is the feature set across variants—the digital instrument cluster with optional TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity feels premium for the price, and the Glide Through Technology makes navigating traffic remarkably easier. The adjustable monoshock suspension handles Indian roads decently well, while dual disc brakes with ABS on higher variants provide confidence. The 5-inch digital display, USB charging port, and ride modes offer modern connectivity without unnecessary complexity. Available in seven variants starting at Rs 82,000 ex-showroom, it caters to various budgets. The sporty naked design appeals to younger riders, though build quality in certain areas could be refined. Overall, the Raider represents excellent value for those prioritizing practicality, efficiency, and contemporary features in a commuter package designed specifically for Indian riding conditions.

I've been riding the TVS Raider across Delhi's chaotic streets and highways lately, and its latest updates make it stand out in the 125cc segment. Launched with a refreshed lineup, it packs a 124.8cc air and oil-cooled engine delivering 11.38 PS at 7500 rpm and 11.2 Nm torque, paired to a slick 5-speed gearbox for peppy city sprints—hitting 0-60 kmph in under 6 seconds with a top speed near 99 kmph. Mileage impresses at 71.94 kmpl in the city per ARAI claims, backed by my tests averaging 65 kmpl overall, thanks to Glide Through Technology for effortless traffic crawling and three riding modes: Eco, Power, and Boost on higher variants. The seven variants span Rs 80,500 to Rs 96,100 ex-showroom, from basic Drum to loaded TFT DD with single-channel ABS, rear disc, Bluetooth-linked TFT console for navigation, calls, and ride analytics, plus USB charging and LED lighting. Suspension shines with 5-step adjustable monoshock for plush rides over potholes, while the 123kg kerb weight and 780mm seat height suit beginners perfectly. Build feels solid with tubeless tyres and under-seat storage, though top-end TFT can overwhelm with data—still, at this price, it's unbeatable for style, efficiency, and fun in India's daily grind.

I've been riding the TVS Raider 125 across Indian cities lately, and its latest updates make it stand out in the 125cc segment with that punchy 124.8cc air-and-oil-cooled engine churning out 11.38 PS at 7500 rpm and 11.2 Nm torque at 6000 rpm, hitting 0-60 kmph in just 5.8 seconds thanks to Eco and Boost ride modes. Prices kick off at Rs 80,500 ex-showroom for the drum brake variant, climbing to Rs 95,600 for the top TFT Dual Disc with single-channel ABS, dual 240mm front and 200mm rear discs, telescopic forks, and adjustable monoshock for sharp handling on pothole-ridden roads. The 10L tank delivers around 71 kmpl ARAI-rated mileage, while features like Glide Through Technology let me crawl in traffic without clutching, and the 5-inch TFT console on higher trims offers Bluetooth navigation, call alerts, voice assist, USB charging, and over 99 connected functions. At 123-125 kg kerb weight with 180mm ground clearance, it's agile for daily commutes, sporting a muscular naked design with LED lights and under-seat storage—perfect for young riders chasing style and efficiency without compromising on city performance.

I've been riding the updated TVS Raider across Delhi's chaotic streets and highways, and it remains a standout in the 125cc segment with its latest tweaks launched late last year. The 124.8cc air and oil-cooled engine pumps out 11.38 PS at 7500 rpm and 11.2 Nm at 6000 rpm, paired with a slick five-speed gearbox and three riding modes—Eco, Power, and the segment-first Boost via iGO Assist for that extra punch in traffic. Glide Through Technology lets it creep forward without clutching, perfect for stop-go commutes, while the claimed 71.94 kmpl city mileage proves real-world frugal at around 65 kmpl on my tests. Prices kick off at Rs 80,500 ex-showroom for the base Drum variant, climbing to Rs 95,600 for the top TFT Dual Disc with single-channel ABS, rear disc, and over 85 connected features like Bluetooth navigation, call alerts, and ride stats on the five-inch TFT or LCD console. The plush monoshock suspension handles potholes smoothly, wider tubeless tyres grip well, and 10-litre tank means fewer stops. Build feels solid overall, though minor plastic bits could be tighter, making it my pick for young riders craving style, tech, and efficiency without breaking the bank.

The 2025 TVS Raider has been updated with several new features, including enhanced performance and a sleek new design. The bike now boasts a 3-valve 125cc single-cylinder engine with intelligent Start-Stop technology, allowing it to go from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.8 seconds. This update also includes multiple ride modes, such as Power and Eco modes, for versatile riding experiences. I think these upgrades make the Raider a compelling choice for urban commuters.

The TVS Raider comes with an impressive headlight design, an easy to read instrument cluster, a great colour combination, a side stand cut-up sensor, and a split seat making it a great choice for a 125cc bike. Being the owner of the 1604v, I am envious of this bike and all it has to offer.

The TVS Raider has a bold and aggressive look that sets it apart from its competitors. It has a sharp, headlight and muscular fuel tank that gives it a dominant stance. The body panels are designed in a way that it looks stylish, modern and sophisticated. The exhaust system has been designed in a way that it gives the bike a sporty look.

TVS is known for its state-of-the-art design, which is also seen in the Raider. The Raider has a stylish and sporty look that is sure to turn heads. The design is modern and edgy, but still retains a classic feel. ??????

The bike has a muscular and aggressive look from the front. The sharp headlights and the muscular tank look fantastic and give the bike a Bumblebee-like appearance. The bike also has a sporty undertone with its orange accents. It all comes together to give the bike an appealing and attractive look.
