Triumph has launched the updated MY2025 Speed 400 in India, priced at Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model features high-profile radial Vredestein tyres with a fatter profile, adjustable levers for the front brake and clutch, and a thicker seat profile for improved comfort. The bike also comes in four new color schemes: Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, and Phantom Black. I think these updates will significantly enhance the riding experience and visual appeal of the bike.

Alongside the updated Speed 400, Triumph has also introduced the Speed T4, priced at Rs. 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable Triumph model in India. The Speed T4 is designed to be 10% more fuel-efficient than the Speed 400 and features conventional telescopic front forks instead of upside-down forks. I believe this move will help Triumph tap into a broader market segment in India.

The MY2025 Triumph Speed 400 has seen a marginal increase in its wheelbase and kerb weight due to the new tyres, which have resulted in a slightly taller stance and a sharper rake. The suspension has also been stiffened to counter the increased seat height. I think these adjustments will improve the bikes stability and comfort.

Bajaj Auto, in partnership with Triumph, has expanded its dealership network to over 120 showrooms across 75 cities in India within just one year. This growth highlights the strong demand for modern classic motorcycles in the Indian market. I believe this partnership is a significant step for both companies in capturing the premium motorcycle segment.

Deliveries for the MY2025 Triumph Speed 400 and the new Speed T4 are set to begin later this month. The updated models are expected to compete strongly in the roadster segment against other popular models like the Jawa 42 FJ and Royal Enfield Hunter 350. I think the new features and pricing will make these bikes very competitive in the market.
