Our take on this /// Verdict
The Suzuki RM-Z450 is a formidable contender in the motocross arena, and my experience with it has been quite impressive. The bike boasts a strong bottom-end power delivery, which is exceptionally useful for tackling challenging terrain such as steep hills and rough tracks. The engines torquey nature makes it extremely usable, and the aggressive map setting enhances the bottom-end power without making the bike unmanageable. The handling is another standout feature the RM-Z450 tracks confidently through turns, even in slippery conditions, thanks to its well-tuned Showa suspension. However, it does lack a bit of top-end power compared to some of its competitors. Overall, its a stable, controllable, and fun bike to ride, making it a great choice for both amateur and professional motocross riders.
Price
In India, the Suzuki RM-Z450 is not commonly sold through traditional dealership channels due to its specialized nature as a motocross bike. However, for those who can import or purchase through niche dealers, the ex-showroom price can be estimated based on international pricing. The 2021 model, for instance, was priced around 8999 in the US. When converted to Indian Rupees and considering import duties, the ex-showroom price could be in the range of 7.5 lakh to 9 lakh. The on-road price, including all taxes and registration, could go up to 10 lakh to 12 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This makes the RM-Z450 a significant investment, but for serious motocross enthusiasts, its a price worth considering.

Mileage is not a primary concern for motocross bikes like the Suzuki RM-Z450, as these vehicles are designed for performance and durability on the track rather than fuel efficiency. The fuel tank capacity is typically around 1.7 gallons (approximately 6.4 liters), and the bike is optimized for short, intense rides rather than long-distance touring. In practical terms, you can expect the fuel to last through several motocross sessions, but exact mileage figures are not readily available or relevant.
