The Jawa 42 Halleys Teal is priced at around Rs 1.93 lakh in Delhi, Rs 1.99 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 1.95 lakh in Kolkata, and Rs 1.98 lakh in Chennai. This pricing makes it a competitive option in the retro bike segment. I think the pricing is reasonable considering the features and performance it offers.

Owners of the Jawa 42 have reported a mileage of nearly 40 kmpl, which is impressive for a bike in its segment. The bike is powered by a 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that provides 27 hp power and 27.03 Nm torque. The Jawa 42 has been noted for its low ground clearance, which can be a concern, especially when riding with a pillion. However, for solo rides, the bike handles well. I believe that while this is a drawback, it doesnt overshadow the overall riding experience and performance of the bike.

Jawa has introduced new color schemes for the Jawa 42, including the Cosmic Carbon and Crimson Dual Tone, as part of the 2023 updates. The Jawa 42 is also available in Galactic Green (Matte), Halley’s Teal (Matte), and other vibrant colors. This move is expected to attract more buyers with the diverse color options. I believe these new colors will definitely make the Jawa 42 more appealing to potential buyers.

Despite some initial concerns about heating issues, owners have reported that the liquid-cooled engine and radiator system work efficiently to maintain optimal engine temperature. After the first service, the heating issue has significantly improved. I think this is a testament to Jawas engineering and maintenance support.
