The Honda CB150R ExMotion is expected to launch in India by the end of 2024, with a price tag of around Rs 1.4-1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike will compete directly with the Yamaha MT-15 and KTM 125 Duke in the Indian market. The CB150R ExMotion features a 149 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine producing 20 bhp and 14 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. I believe this bike will be a strong contender in its segment due to its modern design and competitive pricing.

The Honda CB150R ExMotion boasts a modern and retro design, with an LED headlamp setup, comfortable seating, and high ground clearance. The bike also features alloy wheels with a spoked design, a 110/70 front tire, and a 150/60 rear tire. The suspension includes upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, although the Indian model might use conventional telescopic forks to keep costs down. I think the combination of style and comfort will make this bike appealing to many riders.

Honda is considering launching the CB150R ExMotion in India to challenge the dominance of Yamahas MT-15 in the naked streetfighter segment. The international model of the CB150R ExMotion has already gained popularity in several Asian markets, and its Euro 6 compliant engine makes it easier for Honda to introduce it in India. I think this move could significantly shake up the market dynamics in the 150cc segment.
