The 2024 Honda CB150R Streetfire continues to impress with its sleek design and powerful engine. The bike features full LED lighting, a tapered handlebar, and a new all-digital instrument panel, making it a stylish and tech-savvy option. However, it remains unlikely to be launched in the Indian market. I think this is a missed opportunity, as the bikes sporty look and robust performance could appeal to many Indian riders.

For the 2021 model year, Honda introduced significant updates to the CB150R Streetfire, including new panels and bodywork, a re-designed 12-liter fuel tank, and bronzed-out engine covers for the special edition. The bike also boasts 37mm upside-down forks from Showa and a monoshock at the rear. Despite these enhancements, Honda has no plans to launch this model in India, which is a shame given its potential. I believe the Indian market could benefit from such a well-equipped and stylish bike.

The Honda CB150R Streetfire is powered by a 149cc DOHC single-cylinder engine, producing 16 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed transmission. This engine setup, along with its trellis frame and petal discs on both wheels, makes it a formidable competitor in the 150cc segment. Although its popular in South-East Asia, its absence in India is notable. I think the bikes performance and features would make it a strong contender if it were available here.

The 2021 Honda CB150R Streetfire comes in two variants: standard and special edition, each with distinct color options. The special edition stands out with its Fury Matte Red, Raptor Matte Black, and Armoured Matte Grey colors, along with additional features like a belly pan and 3D logo on the fuel tank. This attention to detail enhances its sporty appeal, but Indian buyers will have to look elsewhere for similar options. I believe the unique color schemes and additional features would have been a hit in the Indian market.

Despite its popularity in Indonesia and Malaysia, Honda has confirmed that the CB150R Streetfire will not be launched in India. This decision is likely due to the presence of other models like the Unicorn and X-Blade in Hondas Indian portfolio. The bikes price in Indonesia starts at around Rs. 1.51 lakh, which could have been competitive in the Indian market. I think Honda is missing out on a potential bestseller by not bringing this bike to India.
