Latest Updates
Monday, 11 November 2024 08:01 PM Hero MotoCorp has discontinued the Hero Achiever 150, specifically the drum brake variant, due to low sales and increasing competition in the 150cc segment. This decision marks the end of the Achiever 150s production run that started in 2017. I think this move is a strategic step to focus on more successful models.
Tuesday, 31 December 2019 07:26 PM In 2019, the production of the Hero Achiever 150 ceased due to its failure to gain significant market traction despite its updates and compliance with BS4 emission norms. The bike, though equipped with features like the i3s Idle Start Stop System, couldnt compete with other 150cc bikes in India. I believe the markets shift towards more feature-rich and powerful bikes contributed to its decline.
Tuesday, 26 September 2017 09:46 PM Hero MotoCorp launched the Achiever 150 in 2017 with a new design, including updated headlight and body panels, while retaining the same chassis and engine. The bike was priced at Rs. 61,800 for the drum brake variant and Rs. 62,800 for the disc brake variant. This launch was part of Heros plan to introduce 15 new products by the end of the fiscal year. I think the pricing was competitive, but the market response was lukewarm.
Wednesday, 27 September 2017 12:56 AM The Hero Achiever 150 was equipped with a 149.1 cc 4-stroke OHC single-cylinder engine, producing 13.4 HP at 8000 rpm and 12.80 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. It also featured the i3s Idle Start Stop System to improve fuel efficiency. This technology was a significant update to comply with BS4 emission norms. I believe this tech was a step in the right direction for environmental compliance.
Tuesday, 26 September 2017 07:09 PM At the launch of the Achiever 150, Hero MotoCorp aimed to capture a larger share of the premium 150cc segment in India. The bike was positioned to compete with market leaders like the Bajaj V15 and Honda CB Unicorn 150. Despite this, it struggled to make a significant impact in the market. I think the competition was too fierce for the Achiever 150 to stand out.
Tuesday, 26 September 2017 09:37 PM The Achiever 150 had a top speed of 110 km/h and a fuel consumption of 50 kmpl, making it a decent commuter bike. It also had a fuel capacity of 12.5 liters and a reserve of 2.3 liters. These specs were aimed at providing a balanced performance and fuel efficiency. I believe these specs were on par with other bikes in its segment.
Tuesday, 26 September 2017 05:01 PM Hero MotoCorp introduced the Achiever 150 with new graphics and design elements to appeal to a wider audience. The bike featured a new headlight design and updated body panels, giving it a fresh look compared to its predecessors. I think the design updates were a positive move, but they werent enough to boost sales significantly.
Saturday, 02 September 2017 12:06 AM The Achiever 150 was launched as part of Hero MotoCorps aggressive product launch strategy, aiming to introduce 15 new products by the end of the fiscal year. This strategy was to strengthen Heros position in the Indian motorcycle market. I believe this strategy showed Heros commitment to innovation and market dominance.
Tuesday, 27 September 2016 12:57 PM The Hero Achiever 150 was compared to other bikes in its segment, such as the Bajaj V15 and Honda CB Unicorn 150, in terms of specs and performance. While it had competitive features, it struggled to outshine its competitors in terms of sales and market appeal. I think the comparison highlighted the Achiever 150s strengths but also its limitations.
Thursday, 01 September 2016 11:56 PM Hero MotoCorp planned to launch the Achiever 150 by the end of September 2016, marking a significant update to the Achiever series. The new model was expected to boost Heros presence in the premium commuter segment. I think this launch was an important milestone for Heros product lineup.

First, the back tire should be bigger. I don't know why Hero is concentrating on entry level bikes. They could have done better with 150cc bikes.

The refinement of the engine is also good. In terms of performance, it never struggles on the highway and city. Still, more aggression needed here.

THE BEST 150cc BIKE IN THIS SEGMENT @ OF 125 CC BIKE. IT'S A GENTLE BIKE FOR PURE GENTLEMAN, I HAVE TAKEN THIS BIKE 2 MONTHS BACK & I AM FULLY SATISFIED. PREVIOUSLY I WAS LOOKING FOR APACHE. BUT MY FATHER WAS NOT AGREE TO BUY THAT BIKE AS BECAUSE ONE OF HIS FRIEND IS SUFFERING WITH APACHE (160cc). SO HE GIVEN ME OPTION XTREME. BUT I PERSONALLY DON'T LIKE XTREME BECAUSE HERO IS CHANGING THIS BIKE FREQUENTLY & ITS LOOKS. SO I WENT FOR ACHIEVER. AND I THINK I WAS PERFECTLY RIGHT CHOOSING ACHIEVER. I WILL SUGGEST ALL YOUNG STARS GO FOR THIS BIKE & ENJOY THE HEROISM FROM HERO.

Best Features: COMPACT BIKE

Pros: IT'S VERY COMFORTABLE

Cons: BACK SIDE HYDRAULIC
