Hero Honda Passion Plus is a total eye-catcher with some new and some older features which includes a stylish Halogen-bulb, multi-reflector headlight with unique winkers, a tubular double-cradle frame, body colored rear view mirrors, a dual-toned front fender, new array of graphics, a stylish muffler with heat protector, a chain case, engine and front forks painted in Black, bigger fuel tank with strong contours, rear grip with aluminum die casting, an optional 5-spoke and 18-inch alloy wheels in Black, wide pillion grip, lockable luggage space, helmet holder and seat, passenger footrests and a bright tail light.

The bike is equipped with an instrument cluster with white dials having an analogue fuel gauge and speedometer along with a low fuel indicator. There is also a pass light on its nicely positioned handle bar. The commuter has a length of 1980mm, width of 720mm and height of 1060mm as its dimensions and has a large wheelbase of 1235mm for a stable ride. It has a good ground clearance of 159mm for a bump-free ride and a fuel tank capacity of 12.8liters along with the reserve fuel capacity of 1.1liters. It is a kick start bike with a dry weight of 116kgs.

Hero Honda Passion Plus has the same 97.2cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, Air-cooled, Wet Multi-plate clutch, Digital CDI, 8.8:1 compression ratio, OHC based engine with a bore and stroke of 50mm and 49.5mm respectively to give a maximum power of 7.37bhp at 8000rpm and a maximum torque of 7.95Nm at 5000rpm and has a 4 speed constant mesh gearbox transmission. It provides a top speed of 85kmph and reaches 0-60kmph mark in 12.2 seconds with a mileage of 50-55kmpl in the cities and 60-65kmpl on the highways. However the company claims a mileage of 70kmpl.

Hero Honda Passion Plus has 130mm diameter expanding drum brakes at both the front and rear wheels. The suspension system consists of Telescopic Hydraulic Shock Absorbers at front and Swing rams with Adjustable Hydraulic Shock Absorbers at rear. Hero Honda Passion Plus was available in 5 shades which includes Red, Black, Blue, Maroon and Silver. The ex-showroom, Delhi price of this commuter was INR 44,193. It also had a warranty of 2 years or 30000 kms, whichever comes earlier.

I have been using my passion plus for the last 15 years it is a very nice bike. Its engine has not had to be opened even once.
