Can Royal Enfield Hunter 350 be used for off-road rides?
17 April 2025 19:15
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 can be adapted and used for off-road rides, although it may require some modifications. The bike's sturdy frame and reliable 349cc single-cylinder engine provide a solid foundation. Upgrading the suspension, adding knobby tires such as the Shinko Trail Tire SR20, and modifying the exhaust system can enhance its off-road capabilities. These modifications allow the bike to handle gravel, dirt, and more challenging terrains with ease. The bike's weight of under 400 pounds and its 31.1-inch seat height also make it manageable on rough roads. However, it's important to note that the stock version may not have enough power for aggressive off-road use, and the suspension might be limiting at higher speeds or over rough terrain.
Can we add kick start to Royal Enfield Hunter 350?
17 April 2025 19:15
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 does not come with a kickstart option as it is equipped with an electric start system. Adding a kickstart mechanism would require significant modifications to the engine and electrical system, which is not a straightforward or recommended process given the bike's design and modern features.
Will the Hunter 450 get modern amenities like ride by wire and riding modes?

I hope they keep it simple. What I like about the Hunter is its back to basics charm. That could be ruined by adding too much tech.

To compete they'll have to add some modern features. I’m betting we’ll also see ride by wire and at least 2-3 riding modes.

I hope not, maybe on a top spec variant, but I doubt the base model will be full of fancy electronics. RE knows their audience.

I'd like to see some modern tech, riding modes would be great for going from city to highway riding.

But they could surprise us with a TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity. It seems that is the trend these days.
Will the Hunter 450 cannibalize sales of the 350 model?
10 January 2025 12:20
I do not think it will cannibalize sales much. Newer riders and those on a budget will still reach for the 350. For more experienced riders looking for a bit more oomph, the 450 will probably be their preferred ride.
Will the Hunter 450 cannibalize sales of the 350 model?

In fact, it could drive up total Hunter sales. Two engine options give buyers more choice and allow the Hunter to remain competitive with rival brands offering several engine sizes.
Will the Hunter 450 cannibalize sales of the 350 model?
10 January 2025 12:20
I'm afraid it will cannibalize sales. Many people will probably just stretch their budget for the 450 vs the 350, since the price difference probably won’t be huge.
Will the Hunter 450 cannibalize sales of the 350 model?

No, they'll be appealing to different crowds. City riding 350 and highway runs 450. Good move by RE to cover more bases.
Will the Hunter 450 cannibalize sales of the 350 model?
10 January 2025 12:20
Initially that could hurt 350 sales as people wait for the 450. Long term I think they'll coexist fine, just like how the Classic 350 and the Classic 500 coexisted for years.
How will the suspension of the Hunter 450 compare to the 350?
10 January 2025 12:20
But I bet they'll beef up the suspension a bit. The 450 will almost certainly be able to go faster, and thus will need to be more stable and comfortable.
How will the suspension of the Hunter 450 compare to the 350?
10 January 2025 12:20
I hope they keep it like the 350. It's great for flicking through city traffic. That taut suspension. I don't want it to get too soft and loose that nimble feel.
How will the suspension of the Hunter 450 compare to the 350?
10 January 2025 12:20
On the top variant, adjustable suspension is something they should definitely go for. That would really help tailor the ride to different conditions and rider weights.
How will the suspension of the Hunter 450 compare to the 350?
10 January 2025 12:20
It's going to be a compromise, I would guess. A bit softer than the 350 for comfort’s sake, but not too plush for sharp handling. Thicker fork tubes and a better rear shock maybe.
How will the suspension of the Hunter 450 compare to the 350?

They'll pull a surprise and put some fancy semi active electronic suspension on it. I doubt it, but that would be big news in the segment!
How much power will the Hunter 450 have for highway use?
10 January 2025 12:20
Highways should be fine. Given the 450cc engine will probably only be putting out 40-45hp, it’s plenty for cruising at 70-75mph.
How much power will the Hunter 450 have for highway use?
10 January 2025 12:20
Power isn't everything. The Hunter's light weight design will only need so much power to perform well on the highway as some heavier bikes.
How much power will the Hunter 450 have for highway use?
10 January 2025 12:20
I'm skeptical. More power won't help much, if the upright riding position and lack of wind protection make highway rides uncomfortable.
