USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Bajaj Discover 125M Drum is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and economical commuter bike in India. While it may not excel in every department, it offers a balanced package of performance, fuel efficiency, and handling. The bikes 124.6cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine, though a bit vibey above 60 kmph, provides sufficient power for daily commutes and manages to keep up with larger capacity bikes in urban conditions. The ride quality is commendable, especially in city speeds, and the suspension system, comprising telescopic forks and Nitrox gas-charged shock absorbers, handles Indian roads well. However, the braking could be sharper, especially with the drum brakes. Overall, its a good option for those prioritizing mileage and ease of use in heavy traffic, but it may not be the best fit for those seeking a smooth ride at higher speeds or more aggressive braking.
Price
The Bajaj Discover 125M Drum, although discontinued, was priced competitively during its time. The ex-showroom price in India was around Rs 48,000 for the drum brake variant and Rs 50,000 for the variant with a front disc brake. On-road prices would have varied depending on the state and local taxes, but generally, it would have been around Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000, including registration, insurance, and other costs. This pricing made it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a reliable commuter bike.
